Bryan walked in. "Uh, so I heard you guys wanted to talk to me...?"
Reyes sat down and smiled, watching his son with amusement. He had no idea...
"Indeed. Of all the elder descendants, you have excelled in your duty, training, and responsibilities more than most. That being said, your father is ready to hand his position over to you," an elder said.
"Wha- but I thought I was too young..." Bryan blinked in surprise.
Reyes shrugged. "Well, Bryan. It's my position, and also we made an exception."
Bryan blinked in surprise. "I-uh-wow...um...thank you!"
Reyes laughed. "Of course. Congratulations, son."
Bryan grinned. "This is awesome! I gotta go tell Athe- the princess! Bye!"
He ran out.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" an elder asked Reyes warily.
Reyes laughed. "We'll find out. We've all made mistakes... He'll make his own too. But he's a good kid."
