Unknown pasts, unknowable future, friends that are actually family, maybe even a little bit of romance. Oh and zombies, lots of zombies. My name is Zero and this is my story.

After the humans invaded - somewhat; it was his fault, really - his planet, they left a gaping hole in his heart. It took the form of one Kohgrash. Rulshkka had an entire planet to lead, he needed to move on. If only for his people's sake. Well, it helped that Kohgrash came back. Helped immensely, really. *** Viktor and Vok'Rul live life. As ambassador, Viktor struggles - and thrives - in equal measure. New planets, new friends, new allies. And, of course, new enemies. There is an entire intergalactic alliance that both Kohgrash and Rulshkka must navigate. Of course, by introducing the humans to the Alliance, a certain species takes notice. Their attention is less than welcome. But that's just life. Rulshkka and Kohgrash navigate it, together. For better or for worse.

In the last few centuries, humans have pushed themselves almost to the brink of extinction with wars, famine, and disease. But we have managed to survive and persevere despite everything that has happened. The year 2147 was a year of hope for us, with the arrival of the Golik, an alien race, who were kind and wanted nothing more than to help us. Alongside the Golik, we had five years of peace and prosperity with them, both races gaining knowledge from the other and building to create a wonderful relationship with the other. After five years of peace and prosperity, then the peace ran out and the invasion began. The year is 473af and Earth answers to Secaro, a very distant and unknown planet. When they first arrived, people were amazed. They could show us knew ways of life that were only possible in our dreams - and even some newer ways that we would never have came up with. That all turned sour not even 40 years into their stay where they took over for good and don't seem to want to leave. It's not like Earth is particularly special, they speak of their home planet like it is some sort of heaven - and yes it still exists in perfect working conditions. So what do they want with us? Will they ever leave? And what will happen when a human falls for one of them? All may not appear to be what it seems in this not-so-typical Siege... "A villain can choose to reveal his identity, but not knowing is the beauty of mystery," Ghost said lowly, his right hand coming up to push back a loose strand of hair from my face. "Now close your eyes." Reluctantly I shut my eyes, but not because he had commanded the action. It was more out of fear of what was going to happen next.
