Sam launched her personal spacecraft toward space.
"Miss Green, why on earth are you launching in the middle of a meteor shower?!" a voice yelled over radio.
Sam shook her head and pushed a button. "I can't very well send people into space without testing how well the ships hold up in bad conditions, like meteor showers. I'm not letting someone else test something this risky."
"Minds like yours are hard to find nowadays. Abort the mission, now! That's an orde-!"
Sam interrupted, "Psssbfjd. Pssshfjbd. What's that? I think I'm losing you, sir! Psssbfjrnfj."
She turned off the radio and focused on what she was doing. She cringed as an meteor moved towards her ship and pushed the button for the shields.
"Please work...please work..." Sam whispered to herself, cringing and watching.
The ship and meteor made light contact on the side of the ship. The ship shook a bit, but the shields held up.
Sam laughed and cheered. "Yes! My assistant owes me twenty bucks! ...ehh, she can keep it because SPACE TRAVEL!"
Sam pushed a button to cancel out the intense gravity of launch and stood up, moving around and typing up a report to go along with the video footage of her test flight. The ship shook occasionally, but autopilot and the shields handled it. Once she reached orbit, the gravity began to ease up and she floated off the ground slightly.
"Take that, John Prince. I just revolutionized space exploration," Sam grinned, looking over the beautiful view and sending the report back to the person she had ignored earlier. Once they added this, space travel would be relatively safe and easy for more people than ever before.
"Samantha Green... We've been watching you. Perhaps this will get earth's attention," a voice said over her radio.
Sam quickly turned around and looked at a giant ship. Her smaller ship began to be pulled from its place in orbit towards their ship.
"Am I seriously being abducted by aliens? Uuuggghhhh... Okay," Sam stated, plopping in a seat. "And here I thought not adding weapons would be diplomatic, yet I'm still abducted from the atmosphere of my home planet... Rude."
Sam waited boredly as her ship landed and was secured.
"Be gentle! This is my prototype!" Sam stated, walking down the ramp.
"You...you're our prisoner, you can't just tell us-" a soldier began.
"Yeah yeah. Anyway, being kidnapped by aliens is a great learning opportunity! So, while I'm here, can I have a ship tour?"
The aliens exchanged a look then shrugged, leading her around before they took her to the leader.
