Sadia decided it was time she met her family... Especially Chloe's mother. She visited Avelaine in prison, walking in the cell and sitting down calmly while the woman stared at her.
Sadia glanced at her for a moment then spoke. "Bonjour, Avelaine."
"Bonjour..." Avelaine replied. "And who are you?"
"My name is Sadia Marie. Perhaps you know me?"
Avelaine's eyes widened. "You...you're..."
"Your great aunt, yes... The one who disappeared," Sadia agreed.
"But you're...you're so young!"
Sadia laughed. "Call it a perk if you want. I'm..." She thought for a moment. "I don't remember. I lost track of it. But I am somewhere in the thousands."
Avelaine stared at her, surprised. "Wow..."
Sadia laughed. "Anyway... I thought I'd visit you... I heard that you did something stupid."
Avelaine's eyes widened. "I um... I'm s-so sorry... Please don't hurt me..."
Sadia facepalmed. "I'm not here to hurt you. You're already in prison, paying for your crimes. Why did you do it though? You should know better, Avelaine."
Avelaine frowned. "I... I know... I just... I have no excuse... I wanted power. So... I ran an orphanage. I collected powered children and sold them..." She lowered her head. "Even Collette..."
"Chloe ended up with a great family," Sadia replied. "She has more love and care than you could've ever provided with the way you view children."
Avelaine looked at her, surprised. "The way I view children? I don't regret what I did, Sadia! It brought income. The only thing I regret is that I got caught."
Sadia narrowed her eyes. "Enjoy prison. Collette is so much better off without you. Goodbye, Avelaine. I hope you learn your lesson."
Sadia then disappeared.
