"Psst, Ian!" someone whispered, poking him.
Ian jerked awake and tried to blast the person with his powers.
"Whoa, relax!" the guy said, ducking. "It's me!"
Ian lowered his fists and blinked in surprise. "Liam?"
"Surprise! I managed to escape prison!" Liam announced proudly.
"You were in prison?! Why?" Ian asked, frowning.
Liam shrugged casually. "Because I threatened our uncle's rule by existing. You not knowing is reassuring... It explains why you never came back. ...Aaanyway, I'm here now, so what's up, bro?"
"Where to start? Um..." Ian trailed off then began explaining his entire life story.
Afterwards, Liam blinked in surprise. "Wow, you're a mess."
Ian smiled sheepishly. "I know... I'm working on it..."
Liam laughed. "I know, I know... You're lucky you have such a good girlfriend."
