Teresa and Lola walked into the room.
"Well?" Lola asked. "Have you figured it out yet?"
Nate looked up from his research. "Still looking, actually..."
Lola crossed her arms. "If I were you, I'd hurry it up before we become impatient..."
"Okay, okay, sorry... I just... I don't see why you want me to recreate that substance...or to research Teresa..."
Teresa shook her head. "Honestly, it will help you understand how a planet guardian works so you can recreate the substance faster."
"Okay, but why do you-?" Nate began.
"Enough questions! Get back to work or I won't let your sister bring the twins back to earth!" Lola yelled. "Your father doesn't ask nearly as many questions. You should try it."
She glared at him and turned, walking out.
Nate looked down for a moment then glanced at Teresa. "I just...I don't see why you're doing this. I thought you were a good person, Stella..."
Teresa smiled and shook her head. "That's what I wanted you to think. You're too trusting, Natelo. I hope you learned your lesson... Never...trust...anyone."
She gave him a smile then turned, walking out. Nate sighed and began working again. He really didn't want to recreate the substance that stopped planet guardians from using their powers... He could only imagine her plans for the substance.- - - - -
Val watched with tear filled eyes as person after person was sentenced to prison. No matter what she tried to do or say, the council was very unfair. It was like they all had one mind... And she didn't. She didn't know why... But she didn't see what everyone had done besides say what they thought. Stella wasn't like this... She couldn't be...
All Val knew is that she desperately wanted to leave... This wasn't the council she remembered. This wasn't the planet she remembered.
In her years as a guardian, she had never seen the planet in such chaos and pain. She didn't like it at all...
