Amory snuck off and teleported into a big city. She was so excited to explore independently. She had already seen all the beautiful, nice things the city had to offer. She decided to look around more because, surely, there had to be more beauty she hadn't seen. She didn't know that not everyone was as lucky as she was... Not on earth or any other planet was everyone as lucky to have such a good family and living environment. Amory had never truly seen the real world though... She lived in a house under the sea, after all.
Amory smiled at everyone she saw and got some odd looks, which she didn't really understand. The more she walked, the more into a bad part of town she got.
Amory didn't understand danger, sickness, pain, hunger, or poverty. She began to slow down and stop smiling after seeing what people were going through. People without homes, people that were sick, people that were hungry...
Amory had no idea before now that not everyone had such a great life. Unable to leave them this way, Amory began using her powers to improve the lives of everyone in the 'bad section of town.'
Instead of the weird looks she got earlier for her cheerful attitude in better sections of town, the people responded to her with gratefulness and smiles in return. She made friends and improved people's lives. She helped them with many things and helped them get their lives back in order and on track. The effect of one day of her efforts was city changing.
Amory was still unsatisfied after all her work... She was happy she fixed something, but she figured there must be other people out there who need some help. She wanted to help more people, but she tried to focus on the progress she made for now.

After she helped everyone, she was hanging out with two siblings.
"So, Amory, is it? We appreciate what you did here today... Are you one of those powered humans or something?" Hannah asked.
Amory smiled sheepishly. "Not exactly... I'm actually an alien. My mom is from earth and my dad is from my planet."
"An...alien? That's actually pretty cool," Andy stated.
"Thanks!" Amory smiled.
Andy smiled back. "Anytime."
"Sooo, aliens have lots of powers?" Hannah asked.
"Yeah, I think so," Amory replied. "My favorite power is breathing underwater though."
"Not teleporting or the magic-y stuff?" Andy asked, surprised.
"No, not really. I live under the sea, so being able to swim outside instead of being stuck inside all the time is kinda fun," Amory explained.
"Now that you mention it... You're pretty pale. We should go to the lake sometime so you can get out more!" Hannah offered.
"Yeah, definitely," Andy agreed.
Amory smiled. "Okay, sure! Thanks!"
"Of course. It's the least we can do after everything you did for our family," Andy replied, giving her an adorable grin.
Amory smiled back, clearing her throat. "Oh, that? Hahaha, that was nothing! Of course!"
Hannah laughed. "Anyway..."
The three continued talking. Amory lost track of time, and then Nate noticed she was missing.
