"Ian, remember to be nice at school, and don't tell anyone about your father, alright?" Cadence smiled, ruffling his hair.
Ian sighed, but nodded. "Okay, mommy."
"Have a great day, Rosa! Look out for Ian, okay? And remember, you two, you're twins," Greg winked.
Rosa smiled. "Okay, daddy! Bye! Come on, Ian!"
Ian waved as Rosa pulled him off."That's your twin?" Kyle asked, scoffing. "Faternal, obviously. He looks like an Eldi."
Rosa frowned. "Hey-"
Ian crossed his arms. "So what if I was?"
Kyle gave him a look. "The Eldi have all but declared war on us, is what my mom says!"
Ian frowned. "It wasn't always that way..."
Rosa cleared her throat. "Aaanyway, who's excited for school?"
A few people complimented her on being so academic until Ian agreed. They scoffed at him and thought he was nerdy... Even at an early age, Ian didn't get along well with most Rybros... He was usually the odd one out while Rosa was the golden child.
Because the Prime knew Ian was Eldi, he was never given a baby ceremony to fuse him with some rybrospon. The Prime had been afraid that he might one day turn on Rybrospo... Because of this difference, he had to draw on the Eldi source of energy much more than rybrospon. While he could connect with it, using his Eldi abilities was much more effective with his limitations. That was another difference that made him stick out...
The kids at school never really understood him. Monica, in typical villianess fashion, had taken advantage of this to recruit him to helping Elysia. He was so sick of being an outsider while Rosa was the perfect one that he began to lose it.
When Val overheard and confronted him with Nate for trying to get rybrospon to the Empire, he ended up stabbing Nate. That action led to Val exiling him... It took Ian years upon years to manage to escape. Escaping was a feat in itself... He was now even angrier and more abandoned than ever.
It took someone who cared to break him out of the prison Monica tricked him into from a young age. Now, with Kamara, he had opened his prison. All he had to do now was take a step out and own up to his past...
