Nate was working on a science project casually. He had confiscated this machine from a lab that was trying to recreate some of Casey's inventions. He was in the process of dismantling it when Sadia walked in.
"Ooh, fancy," Sadia said, picking it up. She shook it slightly. "What does it do, Nate?"
"Something about timetravel, maybe? But I'm not sure. All I know is it's dangerous and I really need to finish taking it apart."
Nate reached for it back, but Sadia was busy looking at it. Ian rolled his eyes.
"Time travel? Like... Like I could see my sister again?"
Her eyes lit up and she turned the machine, looking for a button.
Ender sighed. "Sadia, you need to chill and just put it down."
He grabbed it and tried to take it back.
"No, wait. I can figure it out, just give me a second-" Sadia began.
Ian rolled his eyes and helped Ender pull on it. "Just let go, Sadia."
Sadia rolled her eyes and also pulled on it. "I'm not losing a tug of war to some annoying alien boys."
"Guys, all of you just calm down and stop... You're going to drop i-" Nate began.
They accidently dropped it and a flash of light engulfed the room, throwing them all back.
"Are you guys okay?" Nate coughed. "Wait..."
Sadia's eyes widened. "When did I get so short?! Did this crazy project make me short?"
She hurried over to a mirror and climbed up so she could see herself. Her eyes widened.
"You have GOT to be kidding me..." Sadia said. "This cannot be happening!"
She glanced over at the others and saw they were children now too.
"I am way too old for this!" Sadia exclaimed, hopping off the counter and landing. "Can you fix this?"
Nate sighed and thought for a moment. "I dunnoooo...maybe..."
"Nate, are you okay?" Sadia asked, crossing her arms and eyeing him strangely.
Nate shrugged and then grinned, tapping her and running out of the room. "Catch me if you can!"
Sadia facepalmed. "He's lost it... Ugh, I'm never going to live this down... ...Ender, Ian?"
Ian smirked and chased after Nate, laughing mischeviously. "READY OR NOT, HERE I COME, NATEY!!"
Nate just laughed as his voice faded down the hall.
Ender walked out from where he was thrown and rubbed his eyes. "What happened...?"
"Please tell me at least you haven't lost it, Ender," Sadia sighed.
Ender looked at her strangely. "Lost what? Hey, where's Natey? Byeeeee!"
He did a cartwheel then ran away, laughing.
Sadia sighed and shook her head. "This is ridiculous-"
Sadia suddenly lost what was left of her adult-ness, giggling and running after the others.
Now, they were all ridiculous...
