Zayra was fairly young when she met Samuel, like she was when she met most people. He was from a galaxy away - not far compared to Grant's galaxy. When Jaxyn and Skyler took her to Canva, she instantly loved it. It was filled with colors her planet didn't even have, formidable mountains, and lakes that shone like Zayra's eyes when she saw Canva for the first time.
One day, she returned to Canva for inspiration. Creating a planet and deciding how she wanted it to look was harder than it seemed. She sketched some views quietly, hoping the planet guardian wouldn't mind... She was on top of a mountain, with a lush, green forest and lake with a sunset lighting them up.
"Whatcha working on?" Samuel asked, sitting down beside her.
Zayra jumped and then smiled sheepishly, handing him her drawing. He was quiet, looking at the view for what felt like quite a while. Zayra waited, fidgeting slightly. She hoped he didn't mind...
"This is...really good," Samuel finally spoke.
Zayra was surprised, looking over at him. "Really? Oh, um... Thanks!"
Samuel smiled and handed it back. "Really. So... You like art...?"
"Well, um... My planet's really new and I was going to get some inspiration for how I want to make mine look, if that's okay...?"
Samuel thought then shrugged. "Sure, why not? I'm honored I'm considered inspiring," he joked with a wink.
Zayra blushed slightly. "I...I just...I meant..."
Samuel laughed. "I'm just messing with you... Anyway, I'm Samuel. You visited before with Skyler and Jaxyn, right?"
Zayra nodded. "Yes... I um... I'm Zayra."
Samuel smiled. "Zayra... That's a pretty name."
Zayra smiled sheepishly. "Thanks... Skyler picked it out..."
Samuel nodded, smiling back. "That's cool."
Zayra was quiet for a moment then stood. "I um... I should go now... It was nice meeting you..."
Samuel smiled. "It's nice meeting you too. Feel free to visit if you ever need more inspiration, or... If you just want to visit."
Zayra nodded then disappeared.
