Sadia watched quietly, pulling her blanket around her tighter. It seemed like a normal day...
Maze appeared and sat beside her, glancing at her dimension. "Sadia, I know you hate to consider the possibility, but... Don't you think you should move on?"
Sadia frowned and looked over at him. "Why should I? I'm trapped in this awful place, and-"
Maze frowned. "I know it's a prison to you, but it's my home. Is it that bad?"
Sadia frowned. "That's not what I meant, I'm sorry... I just... Want to be back at my home."
"With your 'boyfriend?'" Maze teased gently.
Sadia groaned and whacked him with a pillow. "Will you ever let that go? He's way out of my league, and I'll probably...n-never see him again..."
Sadia teared up and turned away.
"Sadia..." Maze frowned, putting a hand on her shoulder. "Listen to me, if Ambros ever offers you a deal out and says he'll leave them alone... He probably won't, but he won't be as aggressive as before. If you get a deal like that, evaluate him for a moment, and if you think you can take the risk, do it. I know you want to be a hero and sacrifice yourself for your friends, but this is killing you emotionally. That's not fair. I can't stand by and watch you suffer like this every day... When you take the deal, you need to go back, run to Hayes, and tell him how you feel. Do you understand?"
Sadia sniffed and wiped away her tears. "I-I don't know about that... He's...he's so... And I'm not-"
Maze sighed and grabbed her shoulder, teleporting them to where they could see Hayes. "You watch them. You see how grumpy he's become since you left. Why do you think that is?"
Sadia was silent and looked at Maze, shrugging.
Maze groaned and facepalmed. "You! You, Sadia. How have you two not kissed by this point? You're both obviously in love. What's stopping you?"
Sadia blinked and looked back over at Hayes, frowning. "I...I don't know..."
Maze patted her shoulder. "I have a feeling you'll see him again. But hey, if you're ever back in the 'real world' and need some reality manipulation... Don't hesitate to ask for some help, okay?"
Sadia smiled and hugged him. "Thanks, Maze."
Maze smiled and hugged back. "Of course... I can't wait for you two to finally get together."
Sadia didn't say anything as she pulled away and sat down to watch Hayes, but inwardly... She couldn't wait either.
