Without Teresa on Rybrospo, the people were free to live a life without being influenced by the guardian in tune with the universe. A new prime was named following Azari's death - her name was Lola Ninla. She was a lot less traditional than Azari, and people seemed to like that - though some were less than pleased with the new leader.
Lola was looking through Teresa's house one day, looking to see if there was anything that could help her in her new position. While she was, in position, the prime, usually Teresa would bestow some sort of enhanced power upon the new prime. In her prolonged absence, Lola needed something to give her an edge...
She was looking through a bookshelf curiously, seeing books that were from ancient times and all over the galaxy. She pulled out a book about the science of rybrospon, flipping through and seeing Teresa's corrections. Lola smiled then shut the book, about to put it back when she noticed a faint glow. She leaned down to look and saw a blue button.
Lola quickly sat up and looked around to make sure no one was around. She then leaned down, pushed her hair out of her face, and pressed the button. The bookshelf opened inward to some sort of room. She quickly moved back and hugged the book to her chest, standing and walking inside. It was a dark sort of cave, but at least she had light from the other room. She began walking, doing her best to find her footing in the barely lit room, then the door shut.
"Perfect..." Lola muttered.
The book began glowing softly. It casted a blue glow across the room, which was full of traps and lots of opportunities into a deep, dark pit. Who knew how far down it went?
Lola was surprised she had made it this far already... She gulped and continued walking, holding the book tightly. She was glad she brought it. If she hadn't, who knows what she would've done? After all, she was a flier, not a teleporter! After a long, trap filled walk - including several close calls and having to fight some sort of defense mechanisms. Luckily, even without enhanced prime abilities, she was already a very good fighter. She even graduated from school in the top few of her class. After all that, she reached a wall. A dead end?!
"Seriously?! This is what you hid all the way down here?" Lola scoffed. She flipped through the book, exasperated. "Come on, there has to be something in here..."
You're doing it wrong.
Lola jumped and dropped the book. "Wha- Who's there?!"
She turned around frantically, backing against the door.
The voice laughed. I'm behind the door. I'm merely assisting you, but if you'd prefer to do it on your own, be my guest.
"Are you...how are you...are you in my head?!" Lola exclaimed, turning towards the door and backing away.
She tripped over the book and fell.
Yes. However, we can discuss my power when you get past this door.
"Okay..." Lola said slowly, standing and picking up the book. "How do I get in?"
Throw the book off the edge.
"What?! But... Then how will I see???"
So shortsighted. There's no other way. So, unless you want to be trapped here forever...
Lola sighed. "Fine... I hope you're right..."
Lola walked over towards the edge. She hesitated, looking down at the book. Was this really the right answer...? How did she even know if this person was good?
Regardless...what choice did she have?
She lifted the book and threw it down into the darkness, no longer able to see. Finally, she heard a faint thud.
Put out your hand!
Lola quickly put her hand out and a key of some sort fell into her hand. She turned and walked back over near the door.
You'll have to find the keyhole. Hopefully, you're not too short.
"I can fly. I'll figure it out," Lola replied, beginning to feel around for a keyhole.
If I know her at all, she wouldn't put the keyhole near the actual door.
"Okay..." Lola mumbled.
Did you bring the other keys?
"Other keys?!" Lola exclaimed exasperatedly.
Kidding, kidding. You're way too tense, Lola.
Lola froze. "How do you know my name?"
Well, clearly, I'm communicating to you through your mind, yes? What did you expect? Oh! And prime too... Oh, she's been banished for a time? Serves her right...
"Stop poking around my head," Lola demanded. "I'll throw the key and leave."
Alright, alright. No need for threats, Lola. Besides, you couldn't leave here by yourself anyway. You've trapped yourself in here with me. That's part of her trap. You're not the first one who's come down here, but you are the first one who has survived this long.
Lola just sighed and continued searching for a keyhole. "Whatever you say... Who are you anyway?"
I think it's best to show you. When you come inside, you'll see.
Finally, Lola found the keyhole. She fumbled around, but quickly unlocked it. She waited for something to happen, but nothing did.
I was joking about finding more keys, but there actually are two more keyholes.
Lola groaned and continued searching.
