You had been taking pictures of anything you had found pretty or fascinating since you were old enough to. From the time you were 5, you had some sort of camera, allowing you to create your art. Whether it was just a simple flower, an open field, an attractive person, or an aesthetically pleasing object, you took a picture of it. You were prone to changing the angles to make the pictures more interesting or positioning the object or person in a specific way to encase a secret meaning.

Your best friends, Sam and Dean, were supportive, yet sarcastic about your photography. They would always poke fun at you when you asked them to stop walking or to stop the Impala when you saw something you wanted to take a picture of. They would feign annoyance but do it anyway. They also acted annoyed whenever you took a picture of one of them. You had taken the occasional picture of Dean scowling at you or Sam, who wasn't as harsh with the annoyance thing, giving you a soft smile. When Castiel came into the picture, everything changed. You now had a new subject, someone who would do whatever you asked so that he would be able to see your smile.

Unlike the Winchesters, Castiel was always sincere when it came to your art. He knew it was important to you, like you were to him, so he treated it as such. He would suggest different things you could photograph and the different ways it could be positioned to convey a certain type of meaning. Castiel became your number one support and subject, as well as the number one person in your life quicker than it had taken you to warm up to the Winchesters.

After Castiel was possessed by the Leviathan and sent to Purgatory, your interest in photography diminished significantly. You didn't find anything worthy of it anymore, even if it was a beautiful thing. Sam and Dean ushered you back into it to try to lift your spirits but to no avail. It wasn't until Cas came back that you even remotely thought about it, and you became interested in it once again after Castiel had brought it up. Suddenly, you were falling in love with him and photography all over again.

Eventually, you had Cas taking his own pictures with all the tips that you had taught him. His favorite things to take pictures of were flowers, bees, and you. In fact, most of the pictures he had ever taken were candids of you. Other than the pictures of you, his meanings behind the bees and flowers were very abstruse and he was the only one who truly understood. Yet, it was still your job to support him and admire his work, so you did.

Castiel never gave up photography after your death like you had done with his. He was too immersed. It also reminded him of you and he loved everything that reminded him of you. Lavenders were your favorite flower, so he only took pictures of lavenders. Your favorite color was mint green, so Castiel would take pictures of anything that was mint green. He simply continued photography to continue your legacy, to make him feel as if you were still there. But you weren't. That was the only flaw in his art: it was all about someone who didn't even exist anymore. However, art is art and it can be portrayed any way someone wants it to be portrayed. That was the biggest asset in Castiel's art: it was whatever you wanted it to be. For him, you were the embodiment of his photography. But for others, it was just pretty objects.

I relate to this one because I'm a photographer and I'm so proud of this, too. Lemme know what y'all think :) - Emma
