Plot: You and Dean were done for. You had left and Dean was an emotional wreck. What happens when you go back home? Will Dean yell at you or will he welcome you with open arms?

Dean's Pov

Why did she get up and leave like that? After 6 months, I was still thinking. She was pissed when she left but didn't bother to tell me why. I hadn't done anything, or at least I didn't think I did. Sammy talked to her constantly, going out to lunch. Today was one of those days. I asked him to ask her why she didn't come to the bunker anymore.

"Sam...please ask her if she hates me or not. I need some closure." I begged him every single time to do this and the answer was always the same.

"Dean, she already said she didn't know. She just wanted to leave." Leave?

"Wait...did she get herself out of the life? Did she find someone else that wouldn't continuously put her in danger," I made these jabs at myself knowing that that was probably the reason why she left. Sam shrugged his shoulders. "If it'll make any difference, tell her I wanted to know. I just need to make sure she's okay and she's not doing this alone...if she is even still hunting..." He patted my shoulder and walked out the door.

   Second Person POV

You waited outside the diner until I saw the giant. He wrapped his arms around you in a hug  and held the door open for you.

"Table for 2 please." The hostess nodded and grabbed a few menus, gesturing for us to follow her. She dropped our menus on the table and walked away with a small smile. You sighed and sat down.

"So, how are my boys doing?" You asked, sensing a tiny bit of tension.

"We're good. Dean's still a mess...he wants to know what happened. Why you just up and left." Sam said fiddling with his fork and knife. You sighed once again and looked at Sam, finally ready to tell him the truth.

"When I left, I had a demon red hot on my tail. I didn't know what to do except leave. I just didn't want you guys to get hurt, ya know?"

   "Dean said you looked pissed."

"I wasn't pissed, I was holding back tears. I would never leave Dean if there wasn't a reason. I want to go back, but I'm afraid he'll be mad at me..." You sniffled, bringing the sleeve of your shirt up to your eyes to wipe the tears that were about to fall. Sam looked at the menu for a second and thought.

"Come back with me. We need you, Dean needs you. God, has he been a mess since you left. He thinks it's his fault. You should've heard him earlier...scared that you had found someone else, but he was also hopeful that you might've gotten yourself out of the life." You chuckled at the last part. Your food was placed in front of you and you picked up a fry, sticking it in your mouth.

"Sammy, both you and I know that getting out of this life is impossible." He laughed at that. The rest of your lunch was lighthearted, telling one another funny hunting stories from the past month. When the food was finished and the bill was paid, you walked out to your cars.

"Do you need to stop somewhere to get your stuff before we head out?" You shook your head.

"Been living out of my car. Saves money." He nodded getting into the Impala while you got into your '65 Mustang Coupe. You followed the car, getting the jitters about going back.

Dean's POV

I heard the Impala's engine and got extremely eager. I hope he got something from her. Maybe I could have closure. I hope she's doing okay. Thoughts raced through my mind as I was nose deep in a lore book. I heard the bunker door open and didn't bother to look up.

   "How was lunch?"

"Oh, it was great." That was not Sammy. I looked up to see no one other than her. I rushed to get out of my seat and gave her the biggest hug I'd ever given anyone. To my surprise she hugged back. Testing my luck, I went in for a kiss. She kissed back. I missed her so goddamn much.

"Ew. Go get a room you guys." I put my arm around her waist taking her to my room. I sat her down on the bed next to me. I laid my head on her shoulder. I nuzzled into her neck.

"Why did you leave," I asked, instantly feeling her tense up. I lifted my head up. "(Y/N), why did you leave me?" She looked at me with tears in her eyes.

"Well, I had a demon after me...I - I didn't want you and Sam to be in trouble." I looked at her. She looked back. Wiping away her tears, I spoke again.

"Honey, I know you're lying..." She burst into tears nuzzling her head into my shoulder. I hugged her close, loving every second of it. I missed her. I really fucking missed her.

"Fine. I sold my soul to protect you boys. I needed you both to stay safe so after I died, Billy was gracious to grant me more time. She said you two needed me. And that...I needed you guys. It never occurred to me how much I wanted you until you weren't there. I love you Dean...I - I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." She wrapped her arms around my waist.

Second Person POV

"(Y/N), you don't have to apologize. You were trying to protect us," I nodded into his shoulder. "Just please never do that again. I need you more than you need me, if I'm being honest with myself. I love you too babe. Why didn't you talk to me sooner?" His voice was so soothing and it made all of my worries and anxieties go away.

"I thought you were mad when I left. All I remember from that night is that you yelled at me and threw a beer bottle at the floor. I thought you never wanted to see me again, so I stayed away. Sam called me, asking where I was, and I said I'd tell him over lunch. I didn't think - want - to invite you because I didn't want you to yell again. I know it sounds stupid..." You rubbed your eyes and snuggled closer, if it was possible, to Dean. His hand ran through your hair and his lips touched your forehead.

"I didn't want to yell. I was just sad and confused. Please don't think it was anything towards you. I would never yell at you deliberately." He wrapped his arms around you tighter. You nodded taking off your shoes and wriggling out of his grip to lay on his pillows. They smelled like him. Holy shit you missed him. He followed suit grabbing you and pulling you closer to him. His hands ran up and down your back, making you calmer. "God, I missed you. I love you."

"I love you so much more Dean."
