You Waited, Smiling For This? (Gabriel×Reader)

   13th Day of Christmas 

   It was December, the month of snow. Patiently waiting by the window was now part of your nightly routine, much to Gabriel's dismay. He got whiny when you didn't come lay down with him and this new thought that racked your brain impaired you from going to bed earlier. That thought was snow. When will it snow? Will it snow? Sometimes you waited in the morning, but that never did any good. It didn't snow that much during the day unless it was -28 degrees, which was obviously impossible. After staring at the window for a little while, you felt two arms hug your waist. 

   "Babe, come to bed," Gabriel whined into your shoulder. You reached up behind you and played with his hair when you saw it. You wriggled out of his grasp and leaned closer to the window, breathless. You saw snow. It was finally snowing. You ran to get your winter coat and boots as Gabriel trailed behind you with a confused expression. He followed your actions, grabbing his coat and shoes also. You opened the door and ran out, looking at the sky with the biggest smile. Catching your boyfriend's unamused face you grabbed his hand and dragged him out from the doorframe. He recoiled when he first but then just looked at you, still unamused.  

   "What's the matter, Gabe? Don't you like it?" You were upset with his reaction. He just shrugged his shoulder. 

   "All it is is powdery ice. I just don't get why you're so happy about it," Gabriel said walking closer to you. "But if you enjoy it, we'll stay out for a FEW minutes longer." You smiled kissing his cheek and picking up some of the snow. You threw it up in the air and laughed as it fell around you. Gabriel just admired your childish acts, smiling to himself as he watched the snow fall heavier. As soon as you started to shiver, Gabe spoke up. 

   "Hey, babe, how about we head back inside?" You nodded, grabbing his hand in attempt to warm yours until you got back inside the house. He abruptly kissed your nose, causing you to giggle. "That's for being adorable," and then he kissed your lips. "And that's because I love you."

   New Jersey just got its second snow fall!!!!! Obviously it didn't stick, but it's still great nonetheless :)
