Sam: You and Sam didn't live super close to one another, so the rides to Hogwarts were your times to catch up and hang out. You would lay your head on his shoulder and just listen to him ramble about what him and his brother did over the summer. Once he was finished, he would ask you the same question and encourage you to tell him everything. He loved hearing about your friends from your hometown and all the adventures you would go on. You and your 2 friends would make bucket lists throughout the school year and would all meet up the first day of summer vacation, aiming to accomplish everything by September 1st.

The train rides home at the end of the year was your time to tell Sam how much you were going to miss him and how much he meant to you. He would always reciprocate, telling you that he loved you. He would also want to know what things you put on your bucket list. Sam loved to be the only one who knew that you were doing before everyone else because he wouldn't see you for 3 months and wanted to try to at least be up to date with what you were planning on doing.

Dean: On the rides to school in September, he would let you sleep next to him while he stared at the window and bought you sweets for when you woke up. You would usually wake up about an hour into the ride, leaving another hour for you guys to talk about your summers. Dean never wanted to talk about his; he could sit and listen to you talk and be happy for days on end.

The train rides back to King's Cross were always full of giggles and meaningful words. You were always very scared of leaving him because you didn't know if something bad was going to happen to him or to you over the summer. He would try to ease your worries with jokes that would eventually turn into him confessing his love for you all over again. You would tell him how much you loved him and how much you would miss him, causing both of you to be sobbing messes by the time you get to the station.

Cas: You guys had met on the train your first year and you've made it a tradition to invite a new first year into your compartment every year. You and Castiel enjoyed making the younger kids feel welcome and tried your hardest to make Hogwarts less scary. You did whatever you could for them. Whether it was being their friends until they made some of their own or were there when they needed help or support, either one of you was there. You guys had each other and you wanted the first years to know they always had someone, too.

On the rides home, you would talk about what you were both planning to do that summer and if there was any way you could fit in times to see one another. You didn't live close to one another, so it was always a battle to visit; however, you would send letters back and forth to one another everyday if you couldn't see each other. Castiel would make up some fanciful story and lore you to sleep, kissing your head, and cuddling up with you as much a possible. He wanted to remember the feeling of you in his arms and this was the best way.

Jack: Jack had always been shy around other people, but on the train rides to Hogwarts, he would talk a mile a minute. He loved having  your company and being able to let out all of his emotions, whether they would be happiness, sadness, or anger. Jack also loved hearing about your summer and your family. He enjoyed the funny stories that you usually had about your siblings or your cousins.

The train rides home were usually full of tears. You and Jack were both saps, constantly crying over the simplest things. He would tell you he loved you and that would make you cry. You would tell him how much you were going to miss him and he would cry even more. Jack also loved reading stories to you, so he would read a book from your trunk to help calm you down.

Gabriel: The train rides to Hogwarts were full of laughs. He liked to pull pranks on people, causing them to scoff at him and apologize to you about being stuck with him. No matter how many people he pranked, he would never go for you. It was probably because he feared how hard you would prank him back.

You both would sleep the majority of the ride back to King's Cross. Gabe wasn't that much of a sappy person, so he wouldn't go into depth of how much he would miss you, though you knew it was going to be a lot. However, he would tell you he loved you and would kiss you dozens of times. You were the sensitive one in the relationship, so of course you were the one confessing your feelings on how much you hated being without him.

Charlie: Train rides in were always fun. They were full of smiles and laughs, occasionally an 'I love you' and a LOT of i missed yous. Charlie loved talking, so she would explain every day of her summer in extreme detail and you would sit and listen, enjoying the way her eyes lit up when she talked about something she was excited about.

On the rides home, you would just talk about random topics. For example, you would ask a very existential question and Charlie would try to answer it to the best of her ability. Eventually, the conversation would just turn into random thing that ran through your minds. You guys would laugh so loudly that people in the next compartment over would become pissed and come to the door, yelling at for the two of you to be quiet. But you never did. You were going to have fun with each other before the 3 month break.

Chuck: At first, he would only ride in the same compartment as you on the way in so neither of you would get lonely. But now he spoke to you a ton and would always ask you how your summer was. Chuck loved hearing your voice. No matter what you were saying or how quiet or loud your voice was, he loved it. He would talk about his summer briefly so that he was able to listen to your voice as he read his book. You knew Chuck wasn't ignoring you and you loved seeing his little smile whenever you said a word that he found "remarkably adorable."

On the rides home, he would always hug you and cuddle into you. You didn't know why, (probably because he was going to miss you so much), but it made you feel loved and you enjoyed the way Chuck would laugh whenever you kissed his forehead. You felt so protected when you close to him, and Chuck felt the same way when he was close to you. So, obviously he was going to hug you and love you before you were going to be seperated for a few months.
