"Chuck, hurry up! The movie's about to start," you yelled from the couch as you heard footsteps from the kitchen. Chuck stuck out the bowl of popcorn, which you gladly took and you had no intent of sharing. He crawled into the blanket next to you and you snuggled close to his side. You and Chuck had been best friends for years, since you were little kids. The title sequence played and he groaned and looked at you, annoyed.
"Really? I hate this movie," Chuck said as he reached for the remote, which you pulled away.
"Hey, The Addams Family is a great movie." He rolled his eyes and wrapped his arm around you protectively. It was nice having him with you. He was always working, writing, and Chuck never made time for you. Today, you forced him to make time for you, and you hadn't seen him this happy since you were kids. He was smiling, even though you knew he didn't like this movie, and he was laughing at you while you quoted everything. "Chuck, I really missed you."
He looked at you, kissing the top of your head. "I missed you, too. You need to get me out of the house more often." Chuck laughed and tightened his arm around you. You snuggled your head into the crook of his neck and shook your head.
"No, you just need to stop working so much." Chuck grabbed your chin and made you look at him. He leaned in a kissed your lips quick. After a few seconds, you returned the gesture but kissed him longer.
"(Y/N), I love you."
"I love you, too," you said. "Now you have to get out of the house more." You laughed at your "joke", and Chuck rolled his eyes and kissed you again.
