~Life After Love (Cas×Reader)

Plot: You've just died during a hunt qnd Castiel is upset.

Cas' Reader

She's gone. The love of my life, dead. I wanted to bring her back, but then I remembered her asking me not to.

"Cas, promise me that if I ever die, you'll leave me dead. Ok?"

"But, darling, why?" She bit herlip and shuffled her feet a bit.

"Because then I'll be happy. Then I'll be out of the life."

I'll never forget the smile she had as she thought about being in a normal life. I could never tell her, but I wanted a normal life, too. I wanted it with her. I'd never felt that much live for anyone, not even my brothers and sisters. (Y/N) was special, different, and I admired that. I loved her so much, but now I didn't have anything to love.

Seeing her body on the ground after Dagon killed her made my heart fall to my stomach. Sam and Dean were also very sad because they "failed to protect her." It was truly I had failed. They were her friends, yes, but I was her boyfriend. I was supposed to protect (Y/N). Dean's heartbroken and Sam hasn't said much. I presume he's hiding his sadness for the sake of Dean and I's sanity. I've lost my sanity. I have none left now that she isn't here to help control it.

I'm going to miss her beautiful (e/c) eyes, her beautiful smile, and her soft (h/c) hair. Most importantly, I'm going to miss cuddling up to her while she sleeps. The innocence on her face then matched the innocence on her face when she died. I was sad, but I was happy she finally got what she wanted: freedom.
