This one is for LighingQueen! Hope you enjoy. I do have another Kaiba oneshot to write but I'll get to that soon. I have another few ideas coming up..... :)
You slammed your head into the desk of shame, the one directly at the front of the room. Another day stuck with the worst teacher in the high school, in your least favorite subject, (subject).
Maybe if I hit my head hard enough on this desk I'll die.
"Are you trying to give yourself a concussion?" a cold voice asked as the owner of it dropped his stuff next to you.
"If I get a concussion they'll have to send me to the ER and I won't have to be here," you told him, foot tapping restlessly. You lifted your head off the desk and faced the top student of the entire school, Seto Kaiba. "What do you want, anyway?"
His sapphire eyes just stared at you, cutting through your glare. He opened his mouth to respond, but just then the teacher came in and silenced the class. "Today we will begin with our tests! Please take out a pencil."
You dragged a pencil out of your backpack, clearing stuff away so that your desk would be spotless and neat. The teacher handed out the packets and started the timer. "Begin!"
What concerned you when you opened the packet was the fact that the only question you were positive that you'd fill in correctly was your name.
That's a lot of red ink, you thought when the teacher handed back the tests the next day. Maybe I should buy him a new pen.
A big fat 52 stared up at you from the paper, tauntingly angry. You sighed and dropped the packet, rolling your eyes. Yet another failure. If this kept up, you'd be held in this class. It wasn't your fault that you couldn't see the board! Your new glasses were supposed to come in today, but they still hadn't arrived. And it wasn't your fault that you couldn't focus!
You peeked over to Seto's desk to see what he had gotten. As usual, there was a green 110 written at the top of his paper. He always answered the bonus and he always got it correct.
"Hey, I didn't ask for you to look at my score," he said suddenly, putting his paper in his backpack. "Besides, it'll only make you jealous." What a snob.
"I didn't ask to be born with this vision and learning problems," you snapped back.
"Miss L/n? See me after class," your teacher called out. "As well as you, Mr. Kaiba."
"See, now you got me in trouble," Seto hissed out of the corner of his mouth.
After class, you joined Seto at the teacher's desk. He leaned back in his chair, surveyed the two of you and said, "Well, I'm betting you'll want to know why I called you both in."
"Sir-" Seto began. The teacher waved his hand. "You're not in trouble, Mr. Kaiba. Miss L/n could be if her grade slips any further. As my best student, I'd like for you to tutor her in this subject every day after school."
Your mouth dropped open. A tutor? It was really that bad of a grade?
Seto's face betrayed no emotion as he nodded. "Fine."
The teacher smiled and dismissed you both, calling, "I expect nothing but your best, remember!"
You went out to the back parking lot, reaching for your keys in your pocket before someone caught your arm. "Hey, let me go!" you exclaimed, turning back to see Seto.
"Come on. We're going to my house so I can tutor you," he said, dragging you off without another word. "I'll send someone to drive your car back to your house and tell your parents what's going on."
