Zane X Reader X Syrus

Aly: *glances at title* Oh boy......

Syrus: YOU PROMISED!!!!!

Zane: Yeah, you promised. Not that I care.

Atticus: I'm going to read this with a smile on my face.

Aly: And why's that?

Atticus: *blushes, glares at Zane and backs away*

Aly: LET'S GET STARTED!!!

Y/n's POV:

I hurried along to my classes, trying to ignore the glances I got from my assignment partner, Syrus. The sweet Slifer was smart, but never showed it, especially in front of his brother, Zane.

"H-Hey, Y/n?" Syrus asked, poking my arm.

I felt my heart jump, having a crush on the young Slifer and all. "Yeah, Sy?"

"D-Do you know the answer to this problem?" he asked nervously.

I nodded. "See, Sy, if you combine two monsters, that's called a Fusion. Then they can become monsters with even more power!"

"I've always tried to fuse monsters before, but it doesn't work. I end up losing."

I held out my hand. "Can I see your deck, Sy?"

Syrus relucatantly pulled his deck out of his pocket and handed it to me. I thumbed through the cards and gasped. "Sy, you have Powerbond? That's such a rare card, and a good one too! Why do you never use it?"

"It's none of your business, Y/n!" Syrus exclaimed, taking his cards back and turning away from me.

"Sy, I'm trying to help-"

"Well that's fine. I don't need any help," he shot back. The bell rang and he stood, grabbed his stuff and ran.

I followed him, shouting, "Syrus! Syrus!" until I crashed into someone.

"Sorry!" I exclaimed, then started off after Sy again. A hand caught my arm, keeping me from going any further.

"If you've said something about Powerbond, he won't listen to anyone except me," the voice that went with that arm said.

"Zane Truesdale?"I blurted, turning around.

Cobalt eyes stared at me for a few seconds. "In the flesh. Don't bother going after my brother. He never listens to reason."

Then he let go of my wrist and was gone.

"Wow," I said out loud.

Three seconds passed before I remembered I had to get to my next class. "Ah, crap, I'm gonna be late!"

-the next day-

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping. I got dressed and headed out, clutching my books.

"Y/n?"

I turned around and groaned. "What do you want, Atticus?"

"Zane asked me to tell you that he wants to see you at the docks, if you wouldn't mind." The brunette Obelisk rocked back and forth on his heels excitedly.

My heart skipped a beat. Zane wants to talk to me? That's not something that happenes every day.

"Oh, and also," Atticus added, "don't go until sunset. He insisted."

Then he took off, probably to go flirt with some other unlucky girl. Whatever.

Sunset approached slowly, too slowly. When it was close to time, I left the Ra dorm and walked down to the dock. Zane was already standing there...with Syrus?

"Y/n!" Sy exclaimed. He smiled and held out a hand, waving me forward. "Come on, come on!"

Uncertainly, I walked down to the dock and stood between them.

"I'm sorry I freaked yesterday," Syrus said, grabbing my hand. I tensed slightly at the contact but relaxed once Syrus's thumb gently began rubbing circles on the back.

"We really owe you an explanation," Zane added, crossing his arms.

The two told me of Syrus's past and how he had started to overcome his fear of Powerbond and his brother. When they were finished, I smiled. "Wow, Zane, you developed a soft side!"

Zane blushed, a rare occurence, or so I'm told. "I- I suppose so."

"Y/n, there's just one more thing I have to say," Syrus whispered, tugging my hand.

"Yeah, Sy?" I asked, looking at him.

"I- I like you. A lot. Like, more than a f-friend," he stuttered, clearly terrified of rejection.

"Syrus, that's so sweet!" I exclaimed, my face lighting up. At least one of my crushes liked me back! I leaned down and kissed the small bluenette. He was shocked for a couple of seconds, then kissed back, grinning madly.

"You never let me say my piece," Zane interrupted, tugging on my arm. "Come on, Sy, I want a chance to tell her how I feel too." Roughly, he pulled me away from his brother and kissed me as well, holding me close. I sighed into the kiss and wrapped my arms around his neck. We sank to the dock floor in each other's embrace, still in a tight liplock. Syrus followed us down and began kissing my neck.

"I'm taking it that you like both of us?" Zane said, smiling as he pulled back. Breathlessly, I nodded. Syrus scooted under his brother's arm and snuggled into his chest. Zane picked us both up and carried us to his room.

"I love you, Y/n," he whispered as he set us down. 

Syrus latched onto me and wriggled as close as he could. "I love you, Y/n."

"I love you both too," I murmured, wrapping my arms tightly around Sy and kissing Zane's neck gently. We fell asleep like that, locked tightly in an embrace.

Aly: Woo! Done!

Syrus: FINALLY!!!

Zane: That was kind of cute.

Aly: Zane, you were so OOC.

Zane: I know I can be, like when I rescued Sy from that worm-thing.

Syrus: I love you, big brother! *hugs Zane*

Aly: *squeals*

Zane: Shut up, Mokuba. Oh wait, wrong series.
