I'm going to act like I'm enjoying this.

My friend, Alex, and I made a bet. She had to ace her next exam without my help, and if she did, I had to write this.

I bet you can guess what she got!

So, here I am.

This is not the Nightshroud from season 4, by the way. I'm referring to Atticus possessed by Nighshroud, who happens to be waaaaaaay hotter.

Y/n's POV:

"So, simply, we must send one of our number to the island and take out their weak point," the man in the dark cloak said.

"I'll go," Camula said, smirking. "Let me take a bite out of them!"

I shook my head. "No chance. I'll go."

"I want to go first!" Tania exclaimed.

"No."

We all turned around. Nightshroud was leaning against the cave wall.

"I should go first. I'm easily the most expendable. Send me in as a test run."

Tania nodded. "Yes. I say we send Nightshroud in and let him test the waters. If he doesn't come back, we'll know that it's not as safe as we think."

"Just to be absolutely certain," Camula said, "we'll send Y/n to relay the message back to us. Is that all right, Y/n, darling?"

I nodded. "Of course...Mother."

(Cue plot twist)

After everyone else left, I walked up to Nightshroud, smirking. "At least my mother didn't find out about us."

"It was close," he admitted.

"Too close."

I stood on tiptoe to kiss his cheek, but he quickly grabbed my hand. "Not here. Camula may still be nearby."

He led me into a cave several tunnels off the main one. "I can't believe," he said between echoing footsteps, "that in four months of us being together, I've never kissed you."

"I'm just as shocked as you are," I said casually.

Without warning, Nightshroud shoved me roughly against the cave wall and firmly pressed his lips to mine. "Still shocked?"

"No."

"Leave this duel to me, Titan!" I shouted, swinging down from the rafters. "I'll finish him for you!"

I played with all my strength, but inevitably, I lost. I caught the half-open eye of Atticus Rhodes as I fell down. Wordlessly, he extended a shaking hand, holding out a blank card.

"Nightshroud?" I whispered as my soul went into the card.

"Right here."

I looked over my shoulder. "You're here too?" I exclaimed.

His brown hair rustled slightly as he hugged me. "I'm glad you're okay."

"I'm glad I'm okay too."

He ruffled my h/l hair. "Very funny, silly girl." His lips caught mine in a swift kiss before he laid back on the ground, holding me tightly.
