Zane Truesdale X Tsundere!Reader- Senpai

"Kaiser-senpai!" you called, running towards the Obelisk dorms.

Zane was standing on the front steps when you came up to him. "There you are! You always keep me waiting!"

"I'm sorry, Y/n," he said. "If it bothers you that much, we could stop walking to class together."

You shook your head frantically. "No, no, that's not what I- ugh, forget it, dummy."

Zane sighed. "All right then. Let's go."

After classes, you waited in the cafeteria for Zane, but he was late. "There you are!" you said as he ran up, panting. "I thought you'd never get here!"

He took a deep breath and sat down. "I'm sorry. Dr. Crawler kept me back to talk about my upcoming duel."

"I-I really hope you win....." you whispered.

"What was that?" Zane asked, leaning forward. "I'm sorry, I didn't hear you."

"N-Nothing......." you muttered, ".....dummy."

The next day, Zane took you to the lighthouse.

"It's really pretty, right?" he asked, looking out at the waves.

"Y-yeah....." you started, then your head jerked up. "B-but who cares? Listen, I want you to meet me on the school roof at lunchtime. Okay?"

"Sure," Zane said, giving you a sideways glance. "No problem.

Lunch time came slowly, almost too slowly. Class dragged on but soon enough, it was time to eat. You rushed to the rooftop as quick as you could.

It was a good five minutes before Zane ran onto the rooftop, late again. "So much to do and so little time," he muttered.

"Here!" you exclaimed, holding out a lunchbox.

"What's this?" he asked, confused.

Zane: Shut up and get on with the story!

"It's lunch! Here! Aren't you grateful?" you snapped.

"Oh, for me?" he said, taking the box. "Thanks!"

"It's- It's not for you!" you added quickly. "I just- I just made too much extra food this morning- so you can have the extras!"

Zane smiled. "That's very considerate of you."

You deathglared him and shot back, "D-Don't thank me! Just shut up and eat it!"

He patted your arm reassuringly and opened the box, taking a quick bite of (favorite food).

"Oh, this is delicious! You made this?" he exclaimed, sitting down to continue eating it.

"Y-Yeah....." you muttered.

"It's fantastic!" he said, smiling up at you.

Your tough expression softened. "Zane.....there's something else to go with that lunch......."

He looked up. "Yes?"

You sat down next to him. "Zane......I just wanted to say........I- I love you, you dummy! Iloveyoumorethananythingelseintheworld!"

Zane blinked twice, then set down the lunchbox. "You know I'm a man of few words. I let my actions speak for me."

Then he did the perfect thing for the situation. He grabbed your upper arms gently and planted a rough kiss on your mouth. You gasped in shock- could he actually like you back?- but allowed yourself to wrap your arms around his neck.

When the need for air forced you two apart, there was a small smile on Zane's face. (AHH KITTENS ARE DYING!)

"I love you too."

"Oh, you big dummy."

I had the random idea of making the reader into a tsundere, which ended up working really well, at least I think and hope so.
