JJ: FINALLY YOU GOT AROUND TO IT

Me: *sighs* Yes I did.

JJ: YOU ARE THE BEST SISTER EVER!

Jasmine: ...

Chloe: ...

Amanda: ...

Me: *looks at sisters* Kay.

The first time was accidental.

"Oh no! I'm late for class!" you exclaimed, running down the path to the lecture hall. "And the Traps test is today!"

You were going so fast that, as you ran past the Obelisk Blue dorm, you tripped and fell to the ground, knocking someone over.

Strong arms wrapped around you and suddenly, your lips collided with another's, soft and quick. You froze and scrambled to your feet. "I'm so sorry!"

"It's all right. Why are you in such a rush?" Zane Truesdale stood, gathering up the books he'd dropped.

You blushed and muttered, "Late for Traps test."

"I'll walk you there. Consider it an external tardy pass," he said, offering you a hand.

"O-Okay," you whispered, taking his hand.

No one said a word when you walked into class with Zane Truesdale, the Kaiser of Duel Academy. They were too busy focused on the fact that, for once, said student was late to class.

The second time was random.

You dashed off to class, late again. A hand caught your arm. "Late again?"

"Yeah," you laughed, skidding to a stop and turning to face Zane. His rare smile was brief, but you saw it. "I guess I should set an alarm."

"You could always stay in the blue dorm. I set an alarm every morning," he returned, chuckling and starting to walk off.

"W-What?" you exclaimed, punching his arm. He laughed and kissed your cheek, catching the corner of your mouth.

"You're always welcome, even if it is against the rules."

The third time was to save himself.

"Quick! They're after me!" Zane exclaimed, shoving you into a closet. You blushed- being so close to Zane wasn't a new thing, but it still sent your heart into a rage.

"Who?" you whispered.

"The fangirls," he muttered. "I think this was Atticus's doing."

You nodded quickly, hugging him. "I'm sorry that so many girls are obsessed with your dueling skills and good looks."

He chuckled again, wrapping his arms around you. Footsteps appeared outside the door and a girl's voice called, "We know you're in there, Zaney!"

Zane gritted his teeth. "Ugh," he muttered, "Y/n, kiss me. Quick."

Without waiting  for an answer, he planted his lips on yours, taking you by surprise. A couple girls opened the door and squealed. "Aww, let's leave them alone," one said, and they left.

Zane pulled back once the door was shut and sighed. "Thanks."

"A-Anytime."

The fourth time was a good-bye.

"I can't believe you're graduating and I'm still stuck in Slifer!" you exclaimed, crossing your arms. You and Zane stood by the lighthouse, watching the waves.

"I'm sorry that I have to leave you and Alexis and Atticus behind. Don't worry, I believe all three of you will prosper." He turned his head lightly. "Promise me you'll look after my brother for me?"

"Of course. I'll be there for him," you replied.

Zane wrapped his arms around your waist and kissed you, pulling you close. You kissed back, grateful for this quick moment in his arms before he left.

The fifth time was tearful.

"No, please," Syrus whispered, clutching Zane's hand. "Don't go."

"I-I'm sorry, Syrus," Zane replied. "My time is up."

"Zane," you cried, running a hand through his hair. "Please. Stay with us."

Zane smiled at you lightly, then pulled your shirt so you fell down and kissed him. It was the sweetest kiss he'd ever given you, and it was also the saddest.

A moment later, he was gone.

Syrus cried in your arms.

That was the last kiss.

Aly: I OUTDID MYSELF THIS TIME *sobs*

JJ: *crying*

Jasmine: *also crying*

Syrus: WTF

Zane: Ouch.
