Crow Hogan X Reader -- Anything

Sweet to be back in the writing game here! I feel super excited to try out some characters I've never written for before.

"So tell me again," you groaned, massaging your temples.

"Jack's gone to New Domino City, Kalin's abandoned the group, and Yusei's gone too!" Crow whined, crossing his arms. "It isn't fair! Why'd they leave me alone?"

"What about me?" you asked. "You've got me!"

"Why didn't you go with Jack?" Crow asked, flipping his orange hair back. "You're his sister, after all."

You shrugged. "Why don't we go find some cards to cheer ourselves up?" you asked, changing the subject.

"Don't dodge my questions, Y/n," Crow growled lightly.

A giggle escaped your lips. "Or what, Crow?"

Crow's mouth spread into a mischievous smirk. "Or I'll tickle the life outta ya!" he exclaimed, launching out of his chair and tackling you to the ground. "Take that!"

You squealed with laughter as Crow ran his fingers over your sides and stomach. "Crow! Stop! I give, okay? I give! I'll tell you why!"

Crow sat up, laughing as well. "Man, that was easy! Nice to have a girl that's ticklish."

Pushing your hair out of your face and catching your breath, you said, "Jack abandoned his friends! How am I supposed to let him get away with that. I'd rather stay with you, Crow."

Your friend grinned and hugged you. "Thanks. You don't have to stay or anything, but I appreciate that you did."

"No problem," you replied, tucking your chin into the crook of his neck.

You two stayed like that for a few minutes before Crow cleared his throat and stood up. "I gotta go. Someone's gotta find food around here, and if you're not gonna do it, I will."

"Crow, I'll come with," you said, crossing your arms.

Crow shook his head. "It's dangerous for someone who doesn't have a deck or disk. Sorry, Y/n, but I'll do the scavenging."

"I'm tough. I'll make it through," you exclaimed, standing and shaking your head.

"Make it through me being gone for a few hours, alright?" Crow chuckled, ruffling your hair.

You sighed. Though you didn't like Crow's plan, you had to admit, it was dangerous for someone who couldn't fight against Sector Security.

"Fine. But you better be back before sundown."

"No worries," Crow chuckled. "I'll be back before you know it."

He wasn't back before sundown.

You ate a little bread from the cupboards, making sure to save some for Crow. About an hour past dark, you went to bed, sighing and hugging your empty stomach. Where was he?

In the morning, you woke up to the sound of your tummy growling angrily. You went to the kitchen and ate Crow's share of bread. Maybe he'd abandoned you, like your brother. Maybe he was off eating nuts and berries while you tried to make a loaf last.

The sound of the door opening caught your attention. You jumped to your feet and ran to the edge of the room, hugging Crow tightly. "Jerk! You said you'd be back before sundown!"

Crow smiled, set down the bags he was carrying, and hugged you back. "Sorry, Y/n. Security and I got in a tussle and I had to hide out for the night. I would've come back but they were in the area and I didn't wanna get caught."

"The important thing is that you're safe and you brought me food," you chuckled, pressing your face into his shirt. It smelled like sweat and grease and a scent unique to Crow that you could place anywhere.

Crow patted your hair and kissed it lightly, steering you inside. "Oh! I brought you something special!"

He rummaged in the bag for a second before holding up a bar of chocolate.

"Chocolate?!" you exclaimed excitedly. "How did you manage that? You are too much, Crow- I don't deserve you."

Crow smiled. "It took some doing, but I stole it from Security's headquarters. That's why they got mad at me and chased me down. I tried to be careful, Y/n, but the thought of getting something nice for ya was on my mind." He laughed sheepishly.

You grinned and kissed his cheek. "Thank you, Crow. But please don't put yourself in danger every chance you get. I don't want you getting hurt."

"I won't leave ya," Crow said, smiling and kissing your forehead. This annoyed you- and you were pretty sure you knew the cause.

"Just kiss me on the mouth already, Crow Hogan!" you snapped, grabbing his collar.

Crow's face lit up and he cupped the back of your neck, pulling you into a kiss. "No problem, Y/n," he whispered against your mouth. "Anything for you."

"Anything?"

"Anything."

"..."

"..."

"Will you get me more chocolate?" you asked hopefully.

"I would bring you chocolate every day if I could. Let's not let your pretty smile rot away," Crow joked, rolling his eyes. "But yes. I'll bring you a chocolate factory if it makes you happy."
