Ryou Bakura X OnPeriod!Reader

I can so relate to the reader in this one.

DEAR GOD WHAT WAS THAT IS MY STOMACH GOING TO BURST OUT OF MY FLE- oh it's just a cramp. Shoot.

"I don't know which ones to get," Ryou said as the two of you walked down the aisles of the pharmacy.

"Relax, you're just along for the ride," you said. "Now go to the ice-cream section and pick out several pints."

Ryou sighed and complied, moving swiftly towards the coolers and picking out a couple of different flavors. "(Favorite) ice cream? She'll love that," he mused, grabbing two pints of that and one of his favorite, (2nd favorite).

You, meanwhile, were stocking up on tampons, digging through shelves of boxes until you finally found your favorite brand. You loaded your basket with a few boxes and grabbed a couple of pads as well for nights.

It would be a long week.

Ryou had already paid by the time you got to the checkout, but he kept the flavors hidden so it would be a surprise. By the time you'd gotten your items, the teenage girl cashier was sighing. "I am so sorry, girl," she said. "I wish that we all only had to suffer for three days instead of five or seven."

You nodded and quickly struck up a conversation about creating a secret society to abolish periods before Ryou dragged you off. "Come on, sweetie, there's ice cream to eat!"

"Word of advice, awesome girl's boyfriend?" the cashier called. "Don't antagonize her. It won't end well."

Ryou gulped and you smiled innocently. "Don't worry, Ryou. It's just like a Millennium Ring taking over me. Only ten times worse."

He shivered and pulled you to the car, muttering under his breath about, "bloody teenage girls and their bloody periods."

Which, to be fair, were accurate statements.

When the two of you got back to Ryou's apartment, he dropped the ice cream into the freezer and found your and his favorite movie, How To Train Your Dragon 2. "We can watch and eat ice cream at the same time!" he announced brightly.

You laid on Ryou's bed in self-pity while he arranged a pillow fort in the living room so you'd be comfortable and could watch the movie with him. It took him about..... 10 minutes to build the fort and another 20 to get you out of the bathroom.

Yeah.

You moved to the bathroom.

You curled up on the floor.

The weakling had to half-carry, half-drag you into the living room, situate you in the pillow fort, and get you your ice cream.

You perked up then, and dove into the pint while crying during the movie. Eventually, you fell asleep due to the exhaustion of Having Your Period and set your head on Ryou's shoulder.

He smiled and stroked your hair. Though you could be annoying when you were on your period, he loved you endlessly. He kissed your head and tucked a blanket around your chin as Hiccup argued with his father onscreen. You smiled in your sleep and whispered, "Ryou....."

Ryou set his head on yours and whispered, "I love you, Y/n. I love you so bloody much it hurts."

(BA DUM TSS)

You raised your sleepy head and kissed him briefly, then whispered, "Don't use the words blood and hurt in the same sentence for the next few days. I will kill you, even though I love you. And damn it if I don't know how to get blood out of my clothes, Ryou."

He laughed and kissed your forehead. All in all, even with the Red Rain of Terror pouring down on you, it was a good day.

Maybe the time of the month was the best time of the month.

Extra (this takes place during your first period that you have during your relationship with Ryou) texting:

Ryou: Hey, I'm at the pharmacy like you asked.

Y/n: Okay, walk to the feminine hygiene aisle.

Ryou: Oh no.

Ryou: I will buy you ice cream.

Ryou: I will buy you pain meds.

Ryou: I will fly to bloody England and get you an appointment with the queen for crumpets and tea but I will not

Ryou: NOT

Ryou: be seen with tampads and poms in my shopping cart in public. My reputation is bad enough as it is!

Y/n: Tampads and poms? What?

Ryou: Fine. Just this once. Next time, you're coming with me.

-thirty minutes later-

Ryou opened your door and bags of tampons and pads tipped onto the ground. "I didn't know what kind to get so I got one of each."

You rolled your eyes. "I'm set for three years, good Ra."
