Jaden Yuki X Reader- Back To School

It's that time again! Back to school for all us otakus and others. Join your dear boyfriend as he attempts to get out of back-to-school shopping, claiming that if he doesn't have the supplies he can't go to school.

"Nuuuuu!" Jaden wailed, flopping around on the floor in a rather fishlike way. "I don't wanna go back-to-school shopping!"

You rolled your eyes and checked the Duel Academy list. "Jay, we have to get these supplies for school. I'll get them for you if you don't come."

"If I don't go and get my supplies, I don't have to go back!" Jaden exclaimed, ceasing his flopping and sitting up.

"Jaden, get your butt up, we're leaving in five minutes. I'm taking Atticus with me if you don't come."

Jaden was out the door before you could get your shoes. "No way will I allow that idiot to have any time with my girlfriend!"

Once you got in the car, Jaden insisted on shotgun and you drove. It took about five minutes to get to Target from Jaden's house and Jaden used every second of those five minutes to attempt to convince you that he didn't need any more schooling. His efforts were, of course, in vain and you kept on driving.

Jaden literally had to be dragged out of your car and into Target since he was holding onto the seat and whining loudly. You sighed and finally said, "For every item you find on the list, I'll owe you one piece of shrimp."

You didn't think it was possible for Jaden to run that fast, but as he dashed off, you called after him, "Make it under ten minutes and I'll double the shrimp!" He ran even faster.

Of course, when he came back out, pushing a shopping cart full of back-to-school stuff, you cracked up. 9 minutes and 13 seconds. Jaden's love of shrimp was a true motivator.

"Good job, babe," you laughed, kissing his cheek. "Now I'll go back in and get you the shrimp."

Jaden giggled and took your hand, kissing it briefly before unloading the supplies. You grinned to yourself and headed back in.

"NUUUUUUU!"

"Come on, Jay," you said, dragging the brunette down the stairs by his hand. "It's the first day of school!"

Jaden kicked and screamed but you eventually got him sat down at the table. You set a plate of bacon and eggs in front of him and smiled. "Dig it, sweetie."

He didn't need to be told twice, that was for sure. In minutes, the plate had nothing left on it, not one crumb. You ate more slowly, mainly because you were watching your hyperactive boyfriend eat. He was so cute, even when he had egg all over his face.....

You used your napkin to clean off his face, then put the dishes in the dishwasher for Jaden's parents to run..... if they ever got home. Jaden sluggishly walked out to the car and buckled in, picking up his backpack from the back seat.

"You ready?" you asked, poking him.

"No," Jaden grumbled.

You smiled and leaned back in the driver's seat. He really was adorable, even when he was uncooperative.

My first day of school is tomorrow! I'm so pumped, but I guarantee that it'll be tough. High school often is, haha. On another note, I went back-to-school clothes shopping yesterday and got some cute shirts. I wonder what Jaden does on the first day of school besides complain?
