Bastion: *walks in* Hey, everyone, how's it go- wait, where is everyone?
Everyone: *jumps out* HAPPY BIRTHDAY BASTION!!! *super group hug*
Bastion: *gasps* You guys didn't forget!
JJ: *holds out cake in shape of Ra* Here. This took forever, so I hope it's worth it! *smiles*
Aly: *points at title*
Bastion: *gasps again* That is....quite the birthday surprise.
Jaden: Happy 15th, buddy! *bro hugs Bastion*
Syrus: Yeah! *high fives Bastion*
Third POV:
Bastion felt his way into the dorm room, fumbling for the light switch. "Where is it?"
When he flipped the light switch, everyone launched out from random locations and yelled, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY BASTION!!!"
Alexis held out a cake. "I made this, and Y/n frosted it!"
Bastion gasped. "Wow, you girls did so much!"
Y/n smiled at Bastion. "I tried my best, the lettering might be a bit bad."
Alexis whispered something to Y/n, and she smiled and nodded.
What?
Y/n's POV:
If I cut the cake in a certain place, it will read a message. The frosting will explode slightly and the letters and lines will rearrange on the cake from "Happy Birthday Bastion" to something else.
"Presents!" I declared, determined to make this the perfect birthday for the Ra student.
Bastion opened all his presents, laughing at the dino in a Ra jacket Hasselberry gave him, smiling at the new cards from Jaden and Syrus, and finally, eyes widening at the rare spell card I'd given him. It was a spell card I'd requested from Pegasus personally, and it had taken forever to get.
"Wow, Y/n, this is amazing!" Bastion exclaimed, giving me a hug. I laughed.
"I'm glad you like it!"
Then we played some games- including a piñata!
"Okay, Bastion, you go first!" Zane said, handing Bastion the bat.
Bastion folded the bandana just the right way so there was only one layer of fabric covering his eyes. Cheating, yes, but it was Bastion.
In three hits, the piñata burst. Chazz automatically dove for the Skittles, but ended up bonking heads with Jesse because Jesse also wanted the Skittles. In the end I got the Skittles.
Yay!
-time skip through games and candy eating-
"Okay Bastion, BLOW OUT THE FRIGGIN CANDLES IM HUNGRY!!!" Jaden said/shouted.
Bastion blew out the candles, then I cut the cake and poof! The letters rearranged.
"HOLY RA I CANT SEE ANYTHING BECAUSE THERE'S FROSTING IN MY FACE!!!"
Once Bastion wiped off the frosting, he reread the new message on the cake. The new message read, "Bastion, you're super cute and I like you!"
"Hey, it worked!" I exclaimed, blowing my cover.
Bastion blushed slightly. "Quite, if that's what you meant for it to say."
I shrugged. "I spent countless hours programming the small detonator to make this perfect, sacrificing a social life in the process!"
"So you're like everyone else who took home ec as an elective," Jaden mused.
"Touché, Jaden. Touché."
After the party, Bastion came up to me. "The cake was rather creative and ingenious, Y/n. Just the traits I like."
I blushed. "Thanks."
"You have frosting on your face," he observed.
Shrug. "Eh, what else is new?"
He laughed. "Here, I'll get it."
Instead of wiping it off, he kissed my cheek, leaving me red and stuttering. "B-Bastion, what the heck?"
Bastion smiled. "As for the cake, I like you too."
My mind exploded immediately. "W-What?"
The Ra student gently cupped my face and kissed me again, smiling. "Come on, you heard me."
"Happy Birthday, Bastion..."
Aly: I know, I know, I said it was gonna be Zane X Reader X Syrus next, but it's Bastion's birthday today! So I just had to.
Bastion: I'm very happy to be appreciated once in a while.
Aly: This guy- *gets out neon arrows and points them at Bastion's head* BEAT CHAZZ PRINCETON! He should get way more appreciation.
Chazz: Bringing it up at the best time...........so like Aly.
Everyone: *hugs Bastion* Happy Birthday!!!!
