Those of you who haven't read the Mortal Instruments series: The other definition of a subjugate is a victim of a vampire who relies fully on a mixture of vampire and human blood to survive. Vampires use them as servants and as food sources. Basically walking snack machines for a certain vampire.

(Note: Vampire must have bitten human, then given it small amount of blood (not enough for transformation) to survive and keep it docile.)

Y/n's POV:

Something seems different in my group of friends lately, especially Jesse. He's distanced himself from us, normally peppy and bright, the soul of our team. However, he's been locked up in his dorm room.

I've tried to visit several times, sure. But he's always slammed the door in my face.

Today, he's out, so I think I'll try to see what's up.

Anyway, I used my key from Jess to open the door. His room is still the same, but his bed is made. That's weird- it's never made neatly.

Another new addition- a minifridge. I pry open the door. Inside are three cans of soda and a water bottle filled with something that looks like Coke.

He's been hoarding soda and hasn't shared? Come on, Jesse!

I stand up and turn around, water bottle in my hand- and Jesse walks through the open door. The bottle crashing to the floor and breaks, thick liquid spilling out. The bluenette's eyes widens. "Y/n!"
