Marik X Reader- Life Has Begun

Chloe: And guess who gets to write it?

Marik: FINALLY!!!!!

Chloe: I get to write it! *victory dance*

Aly/JJ: *sweatdrop*

Y/n hurried through the streets of her village. The talk flowed around her. "Is that the grave-keeper's servant?" "I hear she's dating his son!" "Why would she? She's too good for the Ishtar family."

The e/c-eyed girl shook her head, picking up her pace. The bag she was carrying dug into her shoulders, making her wince. She was the only member of the Ishtar group who ever went above ground, ever. Even Ishizu didn't come up.

She sprinted down the steps to the tomb of the lost Pharaoh where she found her best friend, Marik. "Hey, Marik, I brought you a cookie!" she exclaimed, handing him a gooey chocolate-chip biscuit, which he hardly ever got.

Marik scarred down the cookie so his father wouldn't see. "Thanks, Y/n."

The girl smiled at her friend. "Anytime, Marik. Do you wanna play something?"

The tombkeeper shrugged. "Maybe tag?"

Y/n jumped to her feet. "I love tag!"

Marik grabbed her hand. "Let's make Ishizu it!"

The h/c haired girl giggled. "Yeah!"

-once they found Ishizu and ran off-

Marik ran ahead, laughing. "Can't catch me, sis!"

Ishizu burst after him, running as fast as she could in her dress. "I will eventually!"

The blonde shook his head, wondering how in Ra Ishizu was going to catch him- when his best friend rounded the corner and crash! Both fell to the ground, laughing. Ishizu ran up and tagged Marik, shouting, "You're it!"

The e/c girl ran off, determined not to be caught by her friend.

Those were the good days.

Y/n wiped the back of her forehead as she stood on the jet ski that would whip her and Marik away from the location of the finals of the Battle City tourney. Finally, the youngest Ishtar leapt onto the jet ski as gracefully as you please and the h/c haired girl revved the engine.

"See ya round, Y/n!" Yugi and his friends called.

Marik settled his arms around his best friend's waist. "You've always been a better jet ski driver, you know."

Y/n twisted around to give Marik a quick kiss before focusing on the road again. "Only when the people I love are in imminent danger!" she shouted over the engine.

The blonde laughed. "Well, there's no way to tell where our adventures will go from here!"

The e/c eyed girl just shrugged. "As long as I'm with you, the adventures will stay amazing."

Marik set his head on her shoulder and smiled.

Chloe: That was fun!

Marik: I only got a kiss......😢

Fangirls: WE LOVE YOU MARIK!!!!

Marik: *waves*

Kaiba: *scoffs* Showoff.
