She hummed, looking up to Natasha with a big smile, "My teacher said mine was the best and showed the whole class!" "Well done! Maybe you can show me when you bring it home," She smiled back.
"There's my baby girl!" You said relatively loudly as Abigail ran to you. Getting down onto your knees, Abigail ran into your arms and hugged you tightly, "How was school?" "Good!" She said, moving to see tour face, "We did painting and mine was the best!" Smiling softly, you cupped one of her cheeks, "Good job, sweetheart." Abigail giggled and ran off saying that she was going to change out of her uniform.
"Is she back?" Loki asked, suddenly poking his head around the corner. "She just went," You smiled. He frowned slightly, "Oh." A second passed and he had an idea, that he refused to share, and ran in the direction of Abigail's room.
Moments passed and Loki stood silently on the other side, a grin on his face. As the door opened, he moved forward a bit, "Boo!" Abigail screamed, then giggled, "Da-ad!" She fell into him, hugging him. Sweeping her off her feet, he picked up and asked how school had gone. "I knew it!" He whispered to her, "I knew you were the best!" "Shhh!" She giggled, hitting his chest a couple times. He chuckled and walked back to the livingroom with his daughter in his arms.
On the way, she gasped. "What is it?" Loki asked, eyebrow slightly raised. "I'm still wearing the watch!" "Watch?" She nodded, showing him the watch, "Mum said you wouldn't remember it because you had a naughty drink that I can't have so I had to tell you myself!" His cheeks became flushed, "I'm sorry." "It's okay!" She hugged him again, "You and Tony made me a watch yesterday so if I had a problem I could secretly call you! I didn't tell anyone like you and Tony said!" Loki smiled warmly, "I see, do you like it?" "I love it the most!" She kicked her legs a bit and the two of them entered the livingroom.
"Oh, did your dad catch you?" You asked with a smile, watching them walk over. She nodded, with a wider smile.
Moments passed; the four sat down together on the sofas. "So... Abi," You started, suddenly second guessing the choice, "What would you think about having your own teacher, here?" "My own?" She rose a little in her seat, leaning forward, eyes wide and eyebrows high. You nodded, with a hum, "only yours, no one else's!" "Really?" You nodded with a smile. "And sometimes me and your father will teach you some super special tricks!" You added, hoping that she would like it; not wanting to disappoint her or make her cry. "Tricks? Like what?" Abigail looked over to Loki, interested. "Do you want me to show you?" Loki asked, holding out his hand so she could rest her own on it. She nodded enthusiastically, "Please!" Loki smiled at his little girl, leaning forward to her slightly, he said: "Alright."
Taking a split second to think of a safe and easy one to show her, and maybe teach her first, he changed his outfit to a baggy Midgardian styled one. Abigail's eyes, lighting up, immediately shot to you, with a gasp she asked: "Mum! Mum!" She pointed at Loki, "Mum! Can you do that too?" You nodded and changed to your Asgardian look of purple and black. She gasped deeply, "I want to do it! Please?" She pleaded, shaking her legs as you and Loki both changed back into what you were wearing before.
Excited by what Loki had showed her, you both explained that it would mean leaving behind any friends at school. She didn't reply for a moment, looking to the side. "It's fine! I can make friends another time! Some times it looks like their mums and dads force them to be friends with me anyway... and now I can spend more time with everyone here!" She smiled widely. "Can I have one friend come here on the weekend?" "Which one?" You asked. "Her name is Willow! She only came last month and was alone so I wanted to be her friend, she's really nice!" You looked over to Loki, who seemed secretly emotional about his daughter making a favourite friend. You smiled, "Of course she can. I think that we should probably meet her parents first though, to see if they don't mind. Okay?" "Okay!"
"I want to go and tell uncle Thor!" She said after a while of asking what else you both would show her. You chuckled, "If you can find him." Abigail ran to go and find him, to tell him the news.
You let out a relived sigh, "I'm so glad she's excited about it." Loki looked at you, from the door, and nodded slightly. "She'll be fine," Natasha said, with a huff, getting up, "She's going to do well, she really reminds me of you though," she pointed at Loki, "the whole... not caring about interaction thing. Anyway, I'll let Fury know it went well. Believe it or not, he quite likes Abigail." Natasha left and you turned to Loki. "No wonder he smiled during her last birthday..." You muttered. "Well she's my daughter..." Loki said, getting suspicious. "I- ... I don't think she meant it as if he wished for her to be his daughter," You laughed awkwardly.
A/N: Apologies that it almost took a month to update, but I appreciate everyone that's still here or anyone new; thanks.
