"Thank you," You smiled, taking her from Clint. "She's pretty quiet, considering she's the two of yours." "What do you mean?" You chuckled. "One of you when through a huge king phase, the other went along and got themselves punished. You'd think that she'd be a bit worse than she is," He explained. "I see," You smiled, "Hopefully she'll never need a reason to be." "Hopefully," He exaggerated.
After telling you that he had to do some work he'd forgot about, he left and you held Abigail infront of you; face-to-face. You smiled and baby-spoke to her. Although she only made noises, you smiled more and laughed.
Running a hand lightly over her head, after sitting her down on your laps, you smiled. "Let me," You heard, looking over to a Loki with his hands out towards Abigail. You smiled, as he sat beside you and took her off of you. "Look at that beautiful face," He muttered, looking over to you, "And now I see where she got it from." He said, grinning. You shushed him, although it caused you to smile, and looked at her trying to reach up for his face.
Accidentally hitting Loki, when he leant towards her, you laughed. "That's exactly what I was thinking." Hearing you laugh, caused her to giggle too, accidentally hitting her own face too. "Oh—," Keeping her up with one arm, he gently moved her hand and had a look; noticeably panicked, "She's alright."
"I'm glad she's not blue," Loki suddenly said. "Why?" You asked, upset that he'd put himself down like that. "It would be such a burden on her, plus, imagine being blue on Midgard? I've been here long enough to see the way some people treat others for being different," He said. "Not as if it were any different on Asgard..." He admitted to himself in a whisper. Furrowing you brows, you disgareed, you told him that you could have helped with her with the Midgardians situation, "But she would be beautiful."
"Just as you still are when you're in your Jotun form," You held one of his cheeks and turned him to face you. "You don't have to be so sentimental..." He chuckled quietly. "You know I would love to see you as you are more often, Loki; in your Jotun form. I love you either way, but that is still you," You told him confidently. He smiled, handing over Abigail.
"Did you not know, that before I went to destory Asgard, I took this," He brought the Casket Of Ancient Winters before you, "with me?" As Abigail rested her head on your shoulder, you watched as his skin changed from his Asgardian illusion to his natural one. Running your hand over his face, you sighed gratefully, "You're beautiful, Loki." You kissed him and smiled. "And at risk of sounding 'cringy', you are more so," He told you, his heart warm, as he sent the casket away.
Authors Note: I'm aware that the casket was most likely destoryed during Thor: Ragnarok but I am changing this story slightly anyway so might as well show some of the natural Loki :)
