You woke up and stared at your ceiling. Taking a deep breath, you sat up, rubbed your face and groaned. Turning your head to the side, you looked at the clock. "8:31am..." You read it aloud, nodding. Throwing the covers off yourself, you walked into your bathroom and freshened up for the day.

Moments later, after you had dried your hair, you left it out and left your room. Running a hand through it, you walked into the kitchen area and sat by Natasha Romanoff. "Morning Romanoff," You smiled to her. She nodded, "I told you to call me Natasha... almost 5 years ago, Y/N." You apologised laughing and grew quiet at the thought. It had really been 5 years since you were thrown on Earth. But, before your emotions could start falling into place, Natasha spoke. "So, heard anything from anyone yet?" You shook your head, "Not yet..." Humming, she got up, "Well, you want anything until then?" "No, I'm alright," You smiled half heartedly as you were distracted by your thoughts.

"Hey- hey, what's that?" She asked firmly. "Huh?" "All that? Don't go looking all sad on me now, Y/N," Her eyebrows raised to you. "Sorry, can't help it. I do still miss him," You leant on your hand as your elbow pressed against the countertop. She sighed, sitting back to beside you. "You kept it to yourself when you first got here, then you eventually said it out loud and all of a sudden, when you're falling silent about it all, you say it again. Y/N, it's been so long, it's in the past." Romanoff tried to tell you. "I know, but when you know someone for so long, and he was so close... it's hard to forget. Whenever we're on missions, and I do what I do, all I can remember is him. I wouldn't know these tricks if it weren't for him, Ro- Natasha." She sighed deeply, "I'm sure he'll be back soon anyway..." You shrugged, knowing it wasn't true but enjoyed the thought of it anyway.

As a few of the guys walked in, there was a call. You jumped off your seat and announced that you would get it. You sat infront of the computer and accepted the call. "Hello Y/N." He said. "Oh, Fury, hello. What can I do for you?" You asked, a small smile planted onto your face. You heard Stark mutter his name in confusion as Fury continued. "I'm aware this is an odd call, but we have a mission for you all." He explained. You nodded as the rest of the guys walked in and everyone surrounded you to listen to the details.

A long while later, you were holding a mans hands behind his back and took him out to one of the police cars outside. "Last one," You told them with a smile. They thanked you and soon they left, you turned back and took a deep breath and you approached Romanoff. "Y/N-" "Avengers, someone's come through." You both looked at eachother, your eyes wider than hers, as Fury delivered the news. "Roma- I mean, Natasha! Do you think-?" You gave her a hopeful look. "Only one way to find out," She replied and you all made your way to the place as quickly as you could.

Your heart pounded against your chest, thankful that you had asked Stark to fly you there. You could see the place surrounded in black cars as your breathing began to speed up. You gulped as Stark landed.

You breathed out as tears rolled down your cheeks, "Loki?" He stared at you in shock, as if you were the one locked away. You walked closer to him and you hugged him tightly; your head falling just underneath his neck. "I missed you so much," You admitted, shakily. He muttered your name as his arms slowly wrapped around you too. "But- How did you get out?" You asked, suddenly letting go and wiping your tears. "Y/N, we have a lot to catch up on." He said. You nodded. Thor walked over, hugging you, "Y/N! It is so good to see you again, how have you been?" You nodded again, after you let go of eachother "But I missed you, both of you, so much!" "Ah, yes! We missed you too. Loki did not stop speaking of you when he got out, did you brother?" Thor looked over to him and so did you, eyebrows raised. "Brother!" He hissed angrily, "You make it seem as if I only spoke of Y/N. I only mentioned Y/N once." Thor laughed, "Do not worry, Y/N. Loki is shy, he missed you very much." You smiled widely at Thor, then over to Loki.

When we got back to the tower, Loki was treated as a prisoner. Thor spoke to you all, including Fury, and explained what had happened. You didn't want to listen to it, so you sat outside Loki's door with your back up against it. "I missed you so much, Loki." You said. It was silent for a moment before he spoke back, "I did think of you too, Y/N." You smiled, but were soon interrupted by one of the agents asking you to move. Getting up, you let them open the door to a Loki in handcuffs. He almost fell back as he was sitting in the same position as you.

He stood up after and followed the agent into the room with the rest of them inside. You went over and sat by Stark, as it was the only seat left. "Loki, you are a great threat to our planet. We have taken into account what Thor has told us, but we will still need to keep you here and under a 24 hour watch with one of the Avengers. You, also, cannot leave this building by yourself." Fury told him through the computer. Loki nodded, "Understood." "Good." Was Fury's reply before he left, leaving the screen to turn to black. You hummed, making Stark look over to you. "Well, Y/N, looks like your boyfriend is back." He said. "What?" You choked. He moved his head towards Loki, who was getting his handcuffs getting taken off him, "You know, reindeer games?" "He's not my boyfriend, Stark, only a friend. And must you call him that? He has a name." You stood up. "Hey, whatever you say lady," He muttered with a smirk. You turned around to him with an eyebrow raised, "Excuse me?" "Nothing," He kept his smirk and got up and walked away, leaving you to head over to Thor; who was watching his brother being lectured by the others; as you were when you arrived.

"Y/N, you joined the Avengers, I see?" Thor asked, and you nodded to him. "I did, it has been great. How is it back on Asgard?" Thor's face grew pained, "I'll let my brother tell you everything, it has been a long time Y/N, and I don't think he will enjoy me ruining anything..." You nodded. "Do you plan on staying here?" You asked. Thor nodded, "Yes, we do." You smiled softly, finally you could see the two again. "And, I never got to ask before, but, what has happened to your hair Thor?" He laughed uncomfortably, "A crazy old man cut it off a while ago" Your eyes widened for a second, as you reached up to touch it. "I'll let Loki explain that too, but it's a good look; different, but good. How are Frigga and Odin these days? Good I hope," You smiled. Loki interrupted, before Thor could reply, "Brother, I hope you do not mind, but I wish to talk to Y/N alone now." Thor nodded, "Of course, brother," leaving us two alone.

"Is there another room where we can speak?" He asked. You nodded, "We can speak in my room, I'll let everyone know."
