"Would you mind?" You asked, walking in, holding Abigail. "Why?" He asked, uneasily, "Is Loki taking you somewhere-?" You chuckled, "Of course not B-... Bruce, Fury has given the two of us, plus Tony and Clint, a small mission." "Really? But you've only just had her," He wondered. You nodded, "It's been a while since either of us has; Tony and Clint are there just incase. I'm sure that you all are aware of how little sleep either of us have had recently... plus, this isn't exactly something you can leave for a long while."

Staring at her for a moment, he sighed in defeat, "Sure." Standing up, he walked towards you as you did towards him and you handed Abigail over. "She's still cute," He smiled at her, but she just stared back. You thanked him and walked away.

Many moments had passed, Natasha had even come by to see how he was, and Bruce was now sitting down with Abigail. "How are you?" He asked, with a huff. As she giggled, Bruce smiled, "That— That's nice." Taking her hand out of her own mouth, she put it onto his. "That's... uh, really gross, but alright— no," He said calmly, stopping her from trying to put his hand into her mouth. "I don't want to be eaten, thank you."

"This feels so weird," You told him. "I'm sure," He said, "Your body wasn't exactly like usual for nine months... maybe you should have just stayed back? It's a big jump, and so suddenly." "You know that I can't hide there forever," You smiled, lifting a knocked over table. "If so, at least let me," He picked up the two chairs that you were going to. "Loki, I can still use my arms and legs." "Use mine instead, they haven't gone through what you have," He said, holding your cheeks. "Loki?" You started — he hummed — "Don't worry."

"Oh no," Bruce panicked, "Why are you crying? What do you need?" He picked her up and tried to find someone to help him.

"Thor?" He called out, seeing an arm over a sofa. He heard a hum, and the head attached to the arm looked over. "Oh, Steve, could you?" "Why is she crying?" Steve sprang to his feet and walked over to the door, where Abigail and Bruce were.

"I don't know," He replied, letting Steve take her. Laying her down, in his arms, he rocked her back and forth while lightly stroking the top of her head. It took a moment, but she stopped crying and just stared at Steve's face. He wiped the tear streams from her cheeks gently and smiled proudly.

"Do you have children?" Bruce asked. "Of course not," He replied, looking down to Abigail. "Then how did you know to do that?" "I assumed." "You assumed pretty well, thank you."

It took a while longer before you and Loki reached the tower, when you did, however, you arrived in his arms. Steve and Banner, who were just together with Abigail, turned to the loud swing of the door. As Steve stood, Abigail in his arms, he asked what had happened. "Nothing—" You tried to reply. "She didn't feel well," He answered, pretending not to take notice that his daughter was being held by the person he was least comfortable with; still. "So you carried her all the way?" He asked. "You must look after who you care about because you have no clue when you'll make your last memory with them." He answered in a monotone.

As you both left the room, Steve and Bruce heare you say: "Wait, Loki—?" "Is he alright?" Bruce asked. "I wish I knew," Steve shrugged, looking down to Abigail; who was now looking in the direction of her parents.
