Stretching your back, you walked out of your room; still a little tired. You looked over to Rogers and Stark eating breakfast and nodded with a smile. "I had a look, after Fury sent me the PD's location, and they're not far from here." Stark said, now that you were with them. "That is what he told us yesterday, but we walked for a long while to get here." You told him. "I said I looked... the walk is 5 minutes." You nodded.

After eating, and sorting a few things, you all were ready to leave. After a few minutes, like Stark had said, you got to the station and told them who you were. It took a while before someone in charge could see you, but when she did, she was polite.

Shaking all three of your hands, she smiled, "Nice to finally meet you guys, I'm Lori." Your thoughts stuttered for a second. Your eyes darting down; you thought she had said Loki. As your felt your heart drop, you were sure to listen in to what she had to say.

Meanwhile, back at the tower, Loki was sitting by Thor and Natasha. "You can't just stay in your room," Natasha told him. "And why can I not?" "Because I will not let you," Thor replied, "You should stay out of there." "I'm terribly sorry for wanting to spend time by myself." Loki laid his sarcasm on thickly. "Look, we get it. You and Y/N don't like being apart, and now more so, but you should get used to it... She'll be back." Thor nodded, agreeing with Natasha. "I am sure Y/N misses you too, Loki." Thor out his hand onto his shoulder. As Loki sighed silently, Thor moved it away.

Yes, Loki hated being away from you. But, he hated it even more knowing that you could be hurt. The time he spent when he was in that cell, on Asgard, wondering how you were going to keep yourself safe was definitely something. So, seeing you here safe — so many years later — only helped to calm his nerves. Thor and Natasha had only told him what he already knew. He knew that you would be back, but each day, each hour and minute that passed, to him, was another day and hour and minute that someone could hurt you. Although he knew showing this deeply loving emotion was awkward, for him, he had so many moments where he wanted to break out of this shell he had created and show you everything. His heart warmed; his face straight. He knew that even though he kept his straight face on display, most of the time, that he did feel much more comfortable with you; he just wished he could show you how much he appreciated you. He felt as if you were the only one who actually cared for him. Sure, there was Thor but he was always Odin's favourite. Yes, there was Frigga but she cared for him and Thor equally. You were the only one who could choose between you and Thor, with the answer being him. Choose between anyone and him, and it would be him. Loki regretted ignoring your efforts to get through to you when he was figuring things out, going through his 'hard time', he wish he could have opened his eyes clearer. He knew the throne was huge for him, almost as a trophy to be won.

He had already won his trophy though. He might have been too blind to see it then, but he sees it now. He won you. And you were the greatest prize that he could have asked for.

You were all he really needed. His family, his heart, his closest friend, everything.
