You stared at him wide eyed; shaken. You poked his shoulder, whispering his name, "Loki?" When he didn't wake up, you tried again and again; whispering so that the driver didn't hear you. Bringing your lips to his ear, you whispered: "Loki, please wake up, I don't know where we are."
He jerked up, looking at you, "Yes?" You gestured for him to be quiet, asking where you both were. He furrowed his brows for a moment, looking around, then smiled at you. "Don't worry, I know where we're going, it is going to be a rather long drive though," He said, calmly. You relaxed, while he warmly covered you in his arms, and furrowed your brows in confusion. You layed your head on his chest, trusting him, and buried your face into his arms.
"About 18 hours, actually," He smiled. "You- You didn't tell me?" You asked. "That would have ruined the plan," He admitted. You hummed, pouting slightly. "Don't pout like that, you'll really like this place. I promise," He cupped a cheek with one of his hands, rubbing his thumb over it while he smiled to you.
Moments later, he lead you, hand in hand, to a beautifully ancient place. You stared at the surviving structures; admiring them. "I do like this place..." You told him, still dazzled, referring to earlier. Smiling proudly, he began to tell you everything he knew about the place.
Back in New York, at the tower, Tony was busy on what he had promised, alone. "Have you been in here all this time?" He heard someone ask. Turning, eyebrows raised, he hummed. "Yes, I have, why? Missed me?" He asked Steve.
He didn't reply, only looked at what he was doing, "What is this? Are you making another suit?" "Oh, look at that, he has eyes!" His hands raised for a moment, before he cleaned them. Steve sighed silently, "Isn't it a bit small for you?" "It's not for me," He answered between the banging metal caused by his tools. "Then-?" "Guess." He replied quickly. He raised an eyebrow, "I'm not guessing." "What a way to ruin the fun," He said, monotone, mid-sigh, "It's for Y/N."
"Really?" Steve asked, hands on his hips, in disbelief. "Yes, really." "Why?" The desperate need for an answer was noticed by Tony. "What do you mean, why?" "You only ever make them for yourself why are you making one for her, now, all of a sudden?" Irritation came through strong from Steve. "Because, it felt a little lonely not having been someone she could say that helped out with making her feel better," He replied, purposefully. "She said that?" He asked. "Yeah, even said your name C-" "Okay. I need to go- I'll be late for my training," He quickly replied, marching towards (and out of) the door.
After watching him leave, Tony smirked and scoffed a laugh.
You both had spent hours walking around the wonderful place, and it took Loki a bit of nudging to get you to leave. "I'm- How did you possibly pick any of this up?" You asked, happily shocked with Loki's skills concerning Midgardian restaurants. "I have my ways," He grinned to you, across the beautifully laid table. Smiling, you were sure that someone had helped him but left it alone. It wasn't important in the moment.
Loki wondered back to the quick run through that Bruce Banner had to give him in order to feel proper in a Midgardian restaurant. Loki deeply thanked him his thoughts once more before returning to your excited expression. Smiling to one side, he asked, "Excited?" You nodded, "Why would I not be? Sitting here, with you, of course, and seeing you in a classic formal Midgardian suit?" You bit your lip for a second, "Loki, you look so good in it. And this setting? You were made for it." Flustered for a long second, he looked to his lap for a moment before laughing shyly, "Oh, I see," He smiled, uncontrollably. That was something he wasn't used to. He looked up to you, keeping his head down, as his eyebrows raised. He chuckled, "Will you not stop looking at me?" "I can't," You admitted, staring at how shockingly beautiful he looked; more so than you could even imagine (and you had).
