Loki held her, sitting on the edge of your bed, rocking her to sleep again. He sighed silently, thinking of everything that the two of you were going to have to face, but how worth it, it was going to be.

It had just been a week, she was legally named as Abigail and it was wonderful — minus the late night cries and constant feeling of tiredness. "Is she alright?" You asked, moving to his side. He nodded, with a hum, and you rested your head on his shoulder. "Thank you for getting her back to sleep," You muttered. "It's my job too, now," He smiled, looking at Abigail's small hands, thinking of how delicate and precious she was.

You began to cry quietly. "What's wrong?" He whispered; eyebrows furrowed. "I didn't think I needed her as much as I now see. 9 months of all of that pain was worth every moment," You explained to him, making his own emotions slightly spin out of control too. "I'll make sure you both never have to deal with anything. If anyone even dared to lay a finger on her, I make sure they know nothing less than pain. No one is ever going to hurt her," Loki told you, already sounding so father-like and protecting.

You looked at him while he went to lay her back in her cot, thinking about how fitting he was, how you couldn't choose anyone better to be the father to your child. You thought of everything he had been through, concerning his own father figures, and you had no doubt that he would treat Abigail much better than he was; how the Allmother was to him.

"You know, Loki, if Frigga could see you now... she would be so proud of you," You told him, standing infront of him as he turned to face you, "She would be so happy that you've grown into the man you are today." Although his expression was pained for a moment, he smiled, looking you in the eyes. He thanked, and hugged, you deeply.
