Holding Abigail's hand, you ran towards the livingroom to go through and to the lift; to get out of the building. "Y/N!" Natasha yelled after you. "I'm running late, I'll talk when I get back!" You said, not stopping. "You can't leave," She said, catching up as you slowed down. "Huh-? What are you talking about?" You asked in a rush. "Fury's on his way and needs to talk to you, I'll drop her off-" She explained. "Really?" She nodded. "Damn," You took a deep breath, "Okay- you know the school right?" "Yeah, don't worry, but you might want to take Loki with you for the chat!" She said, picking Abigail up and running off. "Alright, thanks!" You yelled to her just before she left.
You stood and stared at a wall; you hummed. Taking a deep breath in, you started to walk back to your room, "Okay then."
After waking up Loki, and roughly letting him know what was going on, he groaned after remembering how little sleep he had got last night and dragged himself out of bed.
Abigail gestured for Natasha to kneel down. "What is it?" She whispered with a smile. She hugged her tightly, "Bye-bye!" Kissing her on the cheek, Abigail left running. Smiling softly, Natasha yelled bye as she ran into class.
"So, what is it about?" He asked, drying his face as he walked back into the room. Smiling to yourself, you answered, "I'm not sure, Natasha told me before rushing away with Abi to drop her off for me." "Odd- What are you smiling at?" He asked. "Nothing," Your smile got wider and you bit your lip laughing silently. Backing away, he ran back into the toilet and had a look in the mirror.
"Nothing's on my face, what is it?" He asked, walking back out. "You have no idea what you did last night, do you?" You asked. Squinting, he asked what he did, slowly creeping up to you as you moved back. "Nothing, nothing," You chuckled. "Y/N..." He said, trying to convince you to tell him, "Tell me..." Smiling widely, you stood against the wall with your arms out, but just before he could grab you, you ran to the side. He stared blankly at you.
He looked down for a moment, with a straight face, then back to you, "Fine, don't tell me." Pouting the smallest bit, he continued, "I don't want to know anyway." As he turned around, his back to you, you slided over to him and wrapped your arms around his waist; leaning your chin on his shoulder. "Not even a little?" You whispered, looking at his face. "Not even a little," He murmured.
Slipping around to be infront of him, you pulled him down a little and kept your face an inch away, "Really?" "Possibly... I'm not so sure now," He whispered back, staring at you. You chuckled to yourself and gave it up, "Let's just say, Tony and my favourite Jotun had a little too many drinks last night." "Tony-?" He questioned, "That iron suit man? Why?" "You were making something for Abigail," You smiled, kissed him and walked away. "What-? Making what?" He asked. "You'll see it soon," You smiled, looking at the Rose in the vase next to the bed before you shut the door; leaving the room.
You smiled, your cheeks squashed from the way Loki held your face. He kissed you over and over again, as if you were both Midgardian teens that had been dating for a few months. "There is no way in hell that is all you do in your spare time," A familiar voice said, walking into the livingroom, "I should send you both on more missions." You both turned your heads. You smiled, standing, embarrassed, "Hello." "Hello, indeed Y/N, and to you too Mr. God of Mischief or whatever the hell it is," he replied, with a small sigh. "Hello." Loki said.
As Fury sat down opposite you both and cleared his throat. "So, I'm sure that you both are aware as to why I am here," He started. You nodded. "Good, because I'm not here to prance around." "So Abigail, what is it?" Loki asked. "I wanted to speak about her future, being a child to two Avengers, I naturally assume it's what she's going into. That being said, if she refuses we can't just pressure her into it because she is, of course, a kid." "Fury, Abigail's only 6... isn't it a bit soon to be thinking about her future like this?" You asked.
"I think so too, but it's no secret that Abigail is a child to you two and we need to know so we can act accordingly," He explained. "Act accordingly? What are you suggesting by that?" Loki asked, an eyebrow raised. "If she were to become an Avenger, let's say, we need to take her out of this public school she's in immediately - we can get tutors for her to be homeschooled - if not she'll stay in a public school only a little later-" "Why does she need to be homeschooled-?" You asked. "Some things can't get out to children and parents, Abigail will only become a source of information for greedy ears," He quickly said, bluntly, "She will also be able to work a lot better with training involved with her schedule, and I am also sure that she doesn't quite understand who she is and where she is in life right now." "Training? She's 6! 6!" You said, concerned.
"Well, what age did you both learn your ability crap, or well, start to learn to use them or whatever?" He asked. You both fell silent. "Exactly. You both could help her to carry what your known for down the line of history," He said. "Fury-" "Sorry for interrupting, Y/N, but we live for hundreds and hundreds of years. Abigail may be born on Midgard but she is still of Asgardian-" "And Jotun" You added. Loki nodded, slightly awkwardly, "and Jotun blood. She cannot loose those years." "Yes, but we humans live for barely 100 years, we don't think about how long you live. If they see Abigail sitting around and doing nothing until she is 60, maybe, it is going to be considered strange and unheroic!" Fury told you both, "This is Midgard, not your Asgard. You need to think accordingly and think for her before it becomes too late. Hell, I might die soon." He said.
Loki looked at you as you stared to the floor. "We could always teach her everything right?" You wondered, "After all, she'll mature quite differently to the other children too... what do you think?" "Whatever you think is right, I'll agree," Loki told you. "We can always let her make friends by going out to placs right?" "Of course, I'll murder anyone who treats her oddly anyway-" "No murder, Loki," Fury said. "Right. No murder," He groaned under his breath, not really listening.
Two sides of you fought as you sat in silence. Your brain and your heart both said different things and you had no idea which to follow and agree with. You took a deep breath and felt emotional but you kept it hidden.
