Ever wondered why Ben Tyler Cook sticks his tongue out so much when he performs?

No, it's not a habit.

No, it's not because Ben Tyler Cook is nervous.

Then why does Ben Tyler Cook do it?

Well, I forgot the name of it, but it's a vocal technique. We'll call it 'The Tongue Technique' for now.

If you stick your tongue out while you sing, you can belt high notes easier.

However, only a select few of people can actually do it, and it's hard to do.

Ben Tyler Cook is one of those select few people.

To prove that it's a thing, Here's a example of the tongue technique, starring Ben Platt(not Cook) singing 'West Side Story'(who's also another select few):
(Watch most of it, because Platt starts to do most of the tongue thing near the end. Or just skip to the time slots I've written down below the video.)

Ben start to do the tongue technique slightly at 1:06.
At 2:13, his tongue sticks out a little bit so he can sing, but at 2:24, he starts to do what Ben Tyler Cook does with his tongue.

So there you have it.

Ben Tyler Cook sticks his tongue out to help sing high notes.
