Okay, 1. We're not rewriting history. 2. It's true that the word 'homosexual' wasn't invented until later on, and it is true that homosexual couples weren't treated as equals until the early seventies, but there has been evidence of homosexual acts that people did in the 17th, 18th, and 19th century. Gay couples back then knew they would get bashed by homophobes though, so they kept their relationships private so no one would find out. And 3. Screw you, you homophobic article writer!
