Requested by: Itz_Labbitx . I hope you enjoy it and I hope you didn't mind but I decided not to make it lovey dovey as I wanted to focus on Levi just helping you out 😌
Scenario: Reader-Chan was abused growing up but escaped the abuse when entering high school. Everyone knows her as the girl who never talks. The mute girl. But Levi, can tell it's from an abusive past as after all, Levi was basically abused growing up. What happens when Levi finally decides to help Reader-Chan?
A/N: You guys I'm currently on a long trip, and by long trip I mean five hours altogether, to go buy a baby grand piano so get ready for probably a good amount of oneshots lol
{Levi's Point of View}
She was always quite. She never spoke a word and she never made eye contact with anyone. Even the teachers knew better than asking her to say something. Everybody knew better. Everybody but me.
It was so obvious to me. I knew what the problem was upon first laying eyes on her. I knew it all because we were just alike. It was so clear to me that it physically hurt knowing no one else could tell. It was so clear from the way she looked down, never spoke, and fiddled with her fingers. It was so clear from the old scars on her body and her sickly figure. I could tell without a second thought, that she recently escaped abuse.
"Alright everyone. You have your first project of the year and I want you all to do this in partners." Our history teacher started handing out papers to each row as students passed them back. "Now I'm letting you pick your partner because if you fail than it's not my fault, it's yours. After you receive the paperwork than please go and sit next to your partner."
This was my chance. Without hesitation I got up and sat beside (your name). Everyone was shocked to see this as the desk next to her was always empty. For the first time ever I saw he glance my way.
"Tch. What are you all looking at?" I asked clicking my tongue. Whenever I would click my tongue, people would know to back off. I wasn't afraid to kick someone's ass.
DING!
The school bell went off signaling the end of the school day and the beginning of the weekend.
"Alright everyone the project is due Monday union returning back to school."
Everyone stood up including (your name). I followed (your name) outside to the school busses before grabbing her hand and forcing her to turn my way.
"I know you don't have to go to work today." I spoke knowing her life schedule as I had learned it upon seeing her many times outside of school. "You're coming over and working on the project with me at my own place." I forced her to follow me but she didn't reject it. "Text whoever it is that you need to text."
She followed me to my car, as I had just gotten a license to drive, and texted someone after putting on her seatbelt. It wouldn't have taken long to make it to my place if it wasn't for the fact that traffic was a bitch after school. I noticed that (your name) looked around. I knew she was looking to see if anyone else was here.
"No ones here." I said. "I live with a man named Erwin but he's in the military and was currently deployed." I admitted wanting her to feel comfortable and not scared. She didn't speak, as I suspected she wouldn't, and only pointed to a picture on the wall. "That's him."
She suddenly started to tap on the glass of the frame and I was going to tell her to stop but I could hear that it was morse code. "A Commander?" Is what she tapped onto the glass.
"You know your ranks well." Her eyes widen as she looked at me in shock and disbelief. "Bet you didn't think I knew morse code." I smirked as she looked at her fingers. "Don't act to surprised. I know morse code because I used to use it when I was abused as a child; but the only person who I ever met that knew what it was was Erwin. That's how I escaped my abusive past. What about you?" She slightly opened her mouth to talk but didn't say anything. "You're safe here. No one is going to force you not to talk or hit you because you do so."
"My guidance counselor. She saw the signs and helped me."
I nodded my head. "I always thought you two were close."
"How'd you know?" (Your name) suddenly asked.
"Because I was abused, I immediately knew you were too upon seeing the way you acted. You never spoke, always had your head down, and fiddled with your fingers; sometimes until they bleed."
"You're the first to know just by looking at me. My guidance counselor just thought I was self-harming myself at first." She looked down.
I sighed before pulling out a seat for her. "It's in the past now. You don't have to be afraid and if you need, I'll help you break your shell. For now, let's work on this project."
She nodded and smiled for the first time before taking her seat. "Thank you, Levi."
