Scenario: It is late into the night and everyone is asleep expect for Levi... or so he thinks. He makes his way to the mess hall for some night tea when he hears someone singing out the door (in this case there is a door that leads outside in the mess hall). He soon finds himself listening to Reader-Chan sing and he finally decided to confess his long held feeling for the girl he had just fallen even more in love with. The song that will be used in this oneshot is from "Attack on Titan" itself and it is called "Eye Water."
{Levi's Point Of View}
I silently made my way to the mess hall for my night tea. This had become my daily routine as I was always up late to do paperwork. Nobody was usually up either and I enjoyed the silence.
"Look at me,
One more time,
In the eye,
And say..."
I heard a voice sing as I finished making my tea. Curious and entranced by the beautiful voice, I decided to make my way towards it and see who was even still up this late.
"That today,
You were happy,
To have chose to,
Go this way."
As I quietly opened the door to outside I saw a figure sitting on a bench in the distance. I knew that figure. I knew that figure all to well. Why? Because I was always staring at that figure. It was her. The women I happen to like and wanted to do every little thing with. The women who made me secretly smile and laugh to myself. The women that made me the happiest man in the world even though she wasn't yet mine. (Your full name).
"If one day we are reborn,
Would you keep the vows we'd sworn?
But if we're given new days,
Promise me that you'll smile always."
I had no idea the women I had a huge crush on, was such an amazing singer. I would have never guessed such a thing. It just wasn't something that would pop up in my mind as a question. But listening to her sing now, I couldn't be more relaxed and in love than ever.
"Clouded though my vision now may be,
This will also wash away from me.
Never will I give up in this fight,
Not 'till I find the future in your eyes."
Such a sad song for such a lovely voice.
"Stand with me here.
Look in my eye.
2000 years behind in time."
I could listen to her sing all day.
"So look at me.
Look in my eyes.
This will not be our last goodbye."
And as she finished her song, I found myself walking up to her little by little.
"You have a beautiful voice. I would have never guessed."
She slightly jumped up but calmed down as she realized it was me.
"I wasn't aware anybody was listening but thank you for the compliment."
I shook my head in a yes motion, "I didn't think anybody would be up either."
She giggled for a short few seconds. "Where you up doing paperwork?"
"In a matter of fact I was. How'd you know?"
"We're captains. We don't ever get a break from those stupid things." She smiled.
I looked down for second to smiled hoping she wouldn't see it the dark. "Than I take it you were doing paperwork to."
She nodded her head and hummed along. "I needed a break. Not for sure if it was a good idea considering I have plenty of more stacks to go through and sign but too late now."
I internally smiled knowing we shared that in common. I wasn't for sure were to continue the conversation but I decided to man up and ask a rather bold question.
"Doing all the work alone is boring, especially when all we do is sign our names over and over. Care to join me in doing so?"
She seemed rather surprised to hear my question but she almost immediately responded with "Yes. I would love to." I smiled in person hearing her answer. She said she would love to! "Before we do so however I just want to tell you something." What did that mean? I watched as she nervously played with her fingers. "I really like you and would like to get to know you better in the process of our paperwork."
I couldn't see her because of the dark but I was sure she was blushing. I just knew she was. But not only that, she had the same feelings for me as I do for her!
"I though I was the only one."
"Huh?"
"I like you as well so let's get to know each other better."
She smiled and nodded, "Okay, Levi."
