Scenario: Reader-Chan is known to be a cadet who is always tired and seems weak. One night Levi discovers the reasons behind his cadet's lacking spirit and feels guilty for judging her before knowing the situation.
{Levi's Point of View}
Some days I wondered. I wondered how one of my cadet, cadet (Your last name), ever became an actual cadet. Sure would always show up to practice or expeditions looking completely drained both physically and mentally. She looked weak and as if she could fall asleep on her face at any moment. Somehow however.... somehow she always managed to pass the test needed to be a cadet.
Why did I often wonder about this? Because I was always having to do reports of the brats and she was the one who u never knew what to write about. A part of didn't want to wrote that she consistently lacking something but I knew I had to be honest. I didn't want to wrote about it because she was somewhat like me. Cold towards everyone in her actions and tone. Maybe a part of it was because I thought she was cute but I seriously was given no choice on the matter!
I sighed as I got up to go make some tea. It was late into the night I was sure I just needed a little bit of tea for some energy. That and I could think about what to do with (your name) along the way.
As I made my way into the mess hall I heard a noise and paused. Looked closer I saw (your name) with a pill and water in hand. She looked tired as usual. What was she doing? I waited for a good ten minutes of just watching her sitting down before I was ready to lecture her about be up and about at this hour. When I walked in she looked at me and some how she managed to look even more tired than before.
"Hello Captain." Her voice sounded as if she was ready to give up on life in general.
"Tch. What are you doing up this late?" I asked her while I started making tea.
"Ah well I forgot to take my medication and came to get some water to take with it once I remembered." She admitted straight up what she was doing.
Medication? What kind of medication? Was she sick? Did she get injured and I didn't know about it?
"Are you sick or something?" I asked with my usual stoic voice and facial expression despite slightly panicking internally.
"It's for my insomnia. All though it doesn't seem to be kicking in enough as usual."
Insomnia? Was she an insomniac like me?
"I wasn't aware you had insomnia." I took a seat across from her while the water for the tea was heating up.
"I asked Hanji not to tell anyone but she's all the time telling me I need to. Haha." She sounded so weak. Even her laugh was slightly depressing. "A part of me didn't want to seem like a weak cadet but it's too late for that. I know I'm barely making the cut."
I seriously couldn't believe what I was hearing. I had no idea that she was an insomniac.
"I usually get only two to three hours of sleep myself but it's usually because of paperwork. I can teach you methods for sleeping better if you want."
"Really?!" I could tell she was excited to hear me say those words but at the same she just sounded so damn tired and weak.
I nodded my head yes. "Head over to my office and we'll talk in there. I'll be there after I finish making tea."
~~~
"You made me tea?" (Your name) asked seeing me sitting a second cup of tea in front of her as she sat in one of the two chairs in front of my desk.
I decided not to sit behind my desk and sit next to (your name); after all, she was my secret crush. "I find that drinking tea helps. The smell alone is like aromatherapy if you take deep breaths."
"I see." Said (your name) as she took a deep breath to smell the tea.
"When you Head for bed make sure you are clear of detractions, whatever that may be. In my case it's always paperwork. Afterwards close your eyes and start counting down from 100. If you find that's not working than trying holding your breath as you do so. Being warm really helps. It just tires you but since it's usually cozy you fall asleep peacefully."
"I would have had no idea you could help me sleep by giving me advice. I'm glad though."
"Just be warned these worked for me but you may be different. Feel free to experiment with them."
"Thank you so much Lev... I mean Captain..."
"Levi is fine when it's just us."
There was a moment of silence and I turned to see her smiling genuinely. "Thank you, Levi."
I blushed hearing how smoothly and softly she thanked me while calling me by my first name. Thankfully it was basically dark expect the dim candle light and I was sure she couldn't see the blush.
"Sure. Now go get some sleep." I tried to rush her out even if I didn't really want her gone.
"Thanks but I think I'll skip your advice for tonight and go back to the mess hall. I don't want to wake anyone up in the dorms." She got up to leave but I grabbed her wrist and stopped her.
"Just sleep in my bed tonight. I probably won't be sleep by at all tonight if I do than I'll sleep in my chair."
She looked surprised. "I possible can't do that. I don't find it fair. But if you insist on me sleeping in your bed than you can always sleep in it with me when you're ready. I'll probably be asleep when you're ready to sleep anyway."
I agreed nervously and almost hesitantly but was happy when I did actually see she was asleep and climbed in my bed with her. I had a feeling we would both get the best sleep tonight that we've had in a while. Not only that but now I knew how to write my reports on my crush.
