Scenario: After an expedition, Levi doesn't see Reader-Chan the next time. Worried, Levi sets out to find Reader-Chan and finds her in the infirmary injured. To Reader-Chan it's a small bruise but to Levi it's much more.
{Levi's Point of View}
It's been 12 hours. 12 hours after our expedition and I have yet to see (your name). I saw her when we came back into the walls and she seemed fine. Did I miss something? Was she sick? Was she injured? I didn't see her in the infirmary earlier when I went to check on my wounded soldiers. Maybe I missed her. Either way, I have to find her.
"Four eyes!" I busted into the infirmary where Hanji was taking care of the wounded.
"Huh? Levi? What are you doing here?"
"Have you seen Cadet (Your name)?"
"Oh. She came in about an hour after you left. She's behind curtain number five."
No wonder I didn't see her when I stopped by earlier. Without a moment's hesitation, I quickly made my way over to curtain number five. I did, however, hesitated to open the curtain. I took a deep breath. Here goes nothing. I slid the curtain over and there (your name) was asleep with her leg propped up on a sling. Her knee was bandaged and she had an IV in her right arm.
"She came in wanting an ice pack for a large black and red bruise on the side of her left knee." Hanji crosses her arms as she stood beside me, starting a rather serious conversation for herself. "I could tell she was trying to hide the pain from the tears welled up in her eyes and from her limp; but she insisted that I treated the more wounded first. I took some blood and had an IV put in. I could tell she was a little scared of the needles when she accidentally clutched onto my shoulder tightly. I gave her some medication to help the pain but it looks like it knocked her out to. I even made sure not wrap the bandages tightly around the bruise as she said even fabric hitting it caused a little pain."
"She's shivering." I said, noticing how cold she looked. "Help me lean her up." I said, taking my jacket off and wrapping it around her shoulders with Hanji's help.
"You know I'm surprised you haven't admitted your feeling for her yet."
"I'm surprised you're saying that without a grin on your face."
Hanji started to walk away when she gave my shoulder a death grip. "Just to let you know, she's my favorite cadet. If you hurt her than I'll crush you and take your reputation as humanities strongest away." She smirked as she walked away to continue caring for the wounded.
I had to give Hanji some credit. She was protective and sometimes even scary. She also knew when to be serious and I'm glad she was for this. I grabbed the seat next to the bed and decided to stay by (your name)'s side. She stopped shivering after a little bit which brought a smile to my face seeing how she was warm, but that smile faded as I watched another Cadet walk into the curtain.
"Captain Levi!"
"At ease Cadet Arlet. What are you doing here?" The Cadet better known as Armin let his salute down as he rubbed his cheek with a finger.
"(Your name) saved me from a titan earlier during the expedition but she took a rather large hit to her leg in the process. I heard she was in here and wanted to make sure she was okay. I also wanted to thank her but I see she's asleep and has another visitor so I'll be going."
"Tch. Hold on." I said, standing from the chair. "You can stay by her bedside until she wakes up. I'm sure she'll be happy to hear you say thank you."
"Thank you Captain but I'll have to decline your offer. I want to thank her but Commander Erwin has asked to see me as well. If you could thank her for me, it would be appreciated." He saluted me again before leaving; never giving me the chance in agreeing to tell (your name) thank you on his behave.
I looked back over at (your name) as I heard her grunt in pain. She slowly opened her eyes and I took my seat back.
"Captain." She called out my rank weakly as she also tried to salute me, but I gently forced her hand back down.
"There's no need for that Cadet (your last name). How are you feeling?"
"I'm fine. Hanji's just being overprotective. All I needed was an ice pack." I looked over at her hanging leg wondering just had bad it was according to Hanji's description. "You can take a look at it, if you want." (Your name) said, probably knowing what was on my mind.
I nodded as I carefully started to unwrap the bandages on her knee. I heard her hiss once very quietly in order to try and hide her pain but there was no hiding it with me. Upon starting to finish unwrapping her bandages, I could already see black, blue, and red colors. The bruise was large and looked as though it hurt so much that even I felt pain myself. Finally the wraps completely came undone and her while knee was swelled and almost completely black.
"You thought all you needed was an ice pack?" I asked, seriously concerned.
"It's just a bruise."
"Cadet Arlet stoped by to thank you but had to leave to visit Erwin. He asked me to deliver the message after you woke up. He also told me what happened."
"You've been by my bedside this whole time?"
"That's not the point." I said, wrapping (your name)'s knee back up.
"Well thank you anyway. I've never had anyone stay my bedside before."
"Really? No family member or friends have ever been there for you?"
(Your name) shook her head side to side as she hummed. "I've never had anyone who cares about me enough to do such a thing. You'd be the first."
I took my seat back after finishing re-doing (your name)'s bandages. "If you're ever having to take bedrest again, I'll be sure to be there through it all."
"Thank you so much Levi. I really appreciate it."
"What did you call me?"
(Your name) tried to raise her hand to cover her mouth but let it fall back to the bed next to her body. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. It just sounded right."
"That's why I asked you what you said." I decided to be straightforward with (your name). "I wanted to hear you call me by my name again because it sounded right."
(Your name) started to blush. "You... you..."
"Have feelings for you, yes."
(Your name)'s blush became brighter. "I... I have feelings for you too."
I patted (your name)'s hair as she continued to blush. "I should go get you a tray of food."
I walked away but stopped upon hearing (your name)'s next words. "You promise to come back."
I looked her and smiled. "I promise. I'll always come back to you."
