{Levi's Point of View}

"We'll if it isn't Captain Levi. I was beginning to think you were avoiding me." I turned my head to see a familiar face wheeling her way towards me. "Is the titan boy Eren Yeager keeping you busy now a days?" She stopped to my side and leaned her face into her arm that rested on her wheelchair's arm.

"Tch. That brat really needs to man up."

I watched as the woman chuckled. Her name was (Your full name). "He's just a child. He's confused and has no idea what to do. Don't be too harsh on him."

"Did you come here to lecture me?"

"Not at all. I came to steal your tea." She suddenly took the cup of tea I just poured from my hands and drank it. I couldn't be upset. There was no way I could ever be upset with her. And so I only sighed and filled up another cup. "Has long as it been since we last saw each other? A couple of months?"

"71 days."

"Wow. You remember the exact amount of days?"

"Of course I do. I was counting how many days I didn't have to see your annoying ass." She laughed, knowing I was only joking with her. Her laughter was the brightest of all but I couldn't help but feel sad as I looked at her.

"Someone needs more than just a cup of tea. How about a drink?"

"On a week day?"

"That's never stopped us before." She turned her wheelchair to try and open up a cabinet only ranked officials such as myself was allowed to open, but she failed to reach. "Has my wheelchair gotten smaller? I could have sworn I was able to reach this last time."

My heart aches at the sight of her struggles. She did this nearly every time we wanted a drink together. I reached up and opened the cabinet. Revealing bottles of liquor and glasses meant for them.

"Alright. Pick your poison." I spoke in my usual stoic tone.

"Hmmm. I'm thinking the honey whiskey."

I grabbed the whiskey and two cups. "On ice as usual?"

"You know it!" She chirped as she wheeled herself to a table. I joined her, sitting on the edge of the table and she sat at the end. I poured our glasses and we started to drink in silence; but I noticed something right off the bat. She wasn't even giving me a chance to keep up with her.

"Something happen?"

"Not at all. It's just been a while since we've had a drink together." She seemed sadden as she spoke. Ever since the incident, we had grown close to each other, and the past 71 days was the longest we hadn't even laid eyes on each other.

"If you miss me that much then why drink so quickly?"

"Hmm." She took another swig before replying. "I was beginning to think you were avoiding me." I rose a brow. Now why would she think that? "Truth is, I overheard a conversation you had with Yeager." I clenched onto my glass hard. Don't tell me... "And yes, I do mean the one about me."

~Flashback: A few months ago when Eren Yeager joined Levi's squad~

"Captain."

"What is it?" Yeager say across from me at a table, late in the night, as I drink my tea.

"The woman in the wheelchair. You seem like you care for her a lot. If you don't mind me asking, who is she?" I sat my cup of tea and looked out to the night sky through a nearby window.

"That woman's name is (Your name) and I owe her my life."

"I'm just a little confused as to how someone in a wheelchair can still be a part of the survey corps."

"Listen up. I'll only tell you this so you can show her some respect. I met her when I first joined the survey corps. She was a cadet, a few years younger than myself, who was also assigned to Erwin's squad. It was only my second expeditions and in a moment of weakness, looking back upon the deaths of my friends from my previous expedition, I made a fatal mistake. My heart had been severely damaged and titans were approaching fast. (Your name) spotted me and came to me to trade gear. At first I spat at her, not wanting any help; but she forced me to do so nonetheless. I won't tell you her exact words but she basically said that everyone knew I was more important than she was. At the time, I was just starting to be recognized as humanities strongest. After we traded gear, I left her behind to kill in incoming titans. But an abnormal appeared from nowhere and spotted (your name). She tried to hide in a nearby building but the titan wouldn't dare let her go so easily. It knocked the already crumbling building down and I heard (your name)'s screams. Her legs had been crushed. I made it in time to kill the titan but not to save her legs. I had no previous exchanges with her besides our introductions, and yet she choose to save me at the risk of her own life. No one else would have done that for me as I had and still have a reputation for being rather cold. After it all happened I never left her side during her recovery. She begged to stay and still contribute to the survey corps' objective. She said she wasn't done. They let her stay but now all she can do is help with paperwork, keep an eye out on you newbies, and help Erwin with plans for future expeditions. Occasionally, she also helps Hanji with her experiments."

"I see. Though if you ask me Sir, she doesn't seem to hold any grudge towards you; yet, every time I see you look at her, you seemed burdened."

"Tch. What do you know?"

"Nothing Sir." We sat in a moment of silence before I spoke again.

"Of course I seem burdened. She was about to be promoted to Captain when it happened. I took that away from her."

"Like I said Sir, her eyes hold no resentment towards me."

"Maybe that's true, but I will never forgive myself."

~Flashback ends~

"I just so happened to be wheeling myself on by when I heard it." I can't believe she heard all of that. "You know... I never blamed you. Not once in these last several years have I ever once thought you were the reason as to why I'm paralyzed. I want you to know that. You don't owe me anything."

I balled my fist up and looked down, feeling tears rise in my eyes. (Your name) had never told me that before.

"But I..."

"I'll tell you a secret Levi. I choose to save you that day because I saw someone who needed someone. I looked into your eyes and saw a broken soul who was afraid. After you lost Isabelle and Farland, you were never the same. I wanted you to know that you were not as alone as you thought. I never meant to make you feel burdened." (Your name) placed her hand on my fist and they instantly came open. "I never regretted my decision because at the end of the day, I felt like I was able to be there for you. And I can never thank you enough for staying my side, but please don't stay if it's just because of the guilt you feel." (Your name) removed her hand and started to wheel herself away when I stood up, deciding I needed to finally confess something.

"At first I did feel guilty." (Your name) stopped in her tracks. "And I still feel burdened but not because of what you think. I do believe I owe you my life but more than anything, I feel burdened because after all you did for me, you only suffered. And yet I... I had the nerve to fall for you while staying by your side for recovery. And since then, I have never not loved you." (Your name)'s eyes widen in surprise. "It took a little while but as I got to know you, I realized you were one of a kind. I stayed by you at first because of the guilt but I'm still by your side because I'm madly in love with you. I love you (your name)."

A tear escaped (your name)'s eye. I looked her, not knowing what more to say or do. Suddenly, (your name) locked her wheelchair in place and placed her hands on the arms of it. She took a deep breath and tried to stand. I immediately rushed to her side, catching her before she fell. She gripped onto my arms tightly before wrapping them around my neck and pulling me in for a kiss. It felt as though my world had stopped. I couldn't have believed that kissed me.

I closed my eyes, a few tears escaping them, as I grabbed onto (your name) tightly. Our kiss deepen and we didn't separate for what seemed like a while.

"I love you too Levi. Thank you for staying by my side."
