I lay awake all night holding my wife in my arms. If I tell her a thousand times a day and a thousand times a night how much I love her, it would not be enough! She is the very air that I breath. I closed my eyes and allowed the sun to kiss my skin and bask me with sunshine. The warm air carresses my skin and I sighed.
I opened my eyes and looked out the window and watched as my warriors trained aggresively for tomorrows battle. Fear speared my heart and I placed my hand on my beating heart to try and calm it. I have to call a meeting with my son, brothers, James and Mary, so we can come up with a plan to hide Elizabeth. I know she said she will obey my wishes, but I know her better than she thinks. She will sneak into the battle field and fight with us and I will lose my concentration knowing that she is there and in danger. I must hide her, for I can not live with out her if anything happens to her.
Elizabeth lay awake all night in my arms, as we cuddled and cried together. She finally fell assleep a while ago. I will go find eveyone now and we can figure out what to do with her tomorrow to keep her safe.
I slowly tiptoed out of the room, and ran downstairs. I found everyone already there waiting for me. I threw a questioning glance at Brendan, and he said, "Mary told us you were comming and collected us down here."
I sighed. This was harder than I thought. "We need to decide where to hide Elizabeth tomorrow, I will not risk her life by allowing her in the battle." I said, but I noticed Mary walk away and look out the window.
"Does anyone have any ideas?" I asked, resting my eyes on James. He was her father, I'm sure he had a restless night last night also.
Christopher sat in his chair silently, guilt written all over his face. "Son do not worry, we will win the battle I am sure of it." and as I said those words a sob tore from my throat and I looked away. But not before I caught Mary throw a look at my son. They are hiding something and are not sharing.I walked to the other end of the room and grabbed a chair and sat in it. Mary turned around and looked at me, her face was stained with tears.
"Tell me Mary and for God's sake, do not hold anything back!" I begged her.
"Tomorrow will be a day that no one will ever forget. It will be the darkest day in the history of earth. The eclipse of the moon and sun will darken the skies, and when the dark forces come, it will be with a vegance. Isobel will lead them to us. She carries your grandson Alexander, but you must try and killl it, for if it survives it will take over the world one day." Mary had our undivided attention. Her words left us speechless. "They will come to kill Christopher, they know that he has lost most of his powers and they want to kill him because they know that one day his powers will be restored and he will fight against them."
"How will they kill him, he is a Druid?" Tristen asked. and all eyes fell on Mary.
"They have the Magic Sword, I saw it in my vision. Their main goal is to kill Christopher." she said, as if her words did not take fifty years away from my life.
I jumped up on my two feet and yelled. "How did they get the sword?"
"It doesnt matter any more how they got it. What matters now is how we are going to keep Christopher safe,?" Mary said, as her tears glided down her face.
"Do not worry about me Mary, I am capable of taking care of myself. Lets all think of a way to keep mother away from the battle. Mayhap we can tie her up in the dungeon until the worst is over." Christopher said.
And we all stayed for hours in the library trying to figure out what to do. Our time together was limited and we knew it.
