Time stood still. I held my breath waiting for her reaction.
"Husband you can not trick me into believing that you would do such a crime against our love!" she said with trembling lips, waiting for me to confirm to her that I would never do such a thing, but I remained silent.
"Explain yourself ALexander." she said coldly, and pulled her hands away from me.
"I went to the Fay realm and gave pleasure to the queen for a day, I became hers to do as she pleased." I told her, and shame filled my heart as I mouthed those words.
"What exactly is it that you did to please her?" she asked in a whisper.
"I made love to her all night, I touched her body and pleased her in ways she had never known before. I did what was expected of me, we had a deal." I said, and waited for my sentence.
"What deal?"
"Your life and that of our child has been threatened, Isobel wants to kill you both. Her armies are strong and powerful. She is preparing to strike, she has joined forces with the dark ones and they seek to kill you and our son!" I told her, and watched her reaction carefully, "I went to Tatiana for help, she promised to fight with us not against us if only I lay with her for a night. We need her army, her warriors are strong and powerful and they will help us win the war against the dark forces. we have no chance to win without their help Elizabeth."
"So you gave your body to a fairy and enjoyed a full night of pleasure with her, without giving a second thought about your family." she said in an angry tone of voice.
"Thats not true Elizabeth. My thoughts never wandered away from you." I told her softly.
"Did you think of me before or after you stuck your shaft inside her?" she asked sarcastically.
