All three of us raced down the stairs and Alexander crashed opened the door to the private library. He marched inside and Mary folowed him and I was the last to enter. My eyes found Christopher and I stifled a cry. He was on my fathers lap and he looked like a one year old, and not that of a month year old! How was that even possible?
Christopher turned and looked at me and his eyes sparkled with recognition. he immediately jumped off his grandfathers lap and came walking to me. I held my breath as he took baby steps and made it all the way to me.
"Mama." he said joyfully and reached his arms up for me to take him.
Everyone watched to see my reaction, I swallowed and looked at my son, he was the most beautiful child in the world. I bent down and lifted him in my arms, and Christopher wrapped his chubby arms around my neck. Then he looked around and spotted his father and with his left hand he motioned for his father to come to him and Alexander with many emotions on his handsome chiseled face came to us, and our son hugged him too. Alexander wrapped one arm around me and the other around our son.
"Papa, mama," Christopher said happilly.
ALexander's face fell on my shoulder and he started to cry. This was a special family moment that will be etched in my heart for the rest of my life.
Alexander pulled back first and took Christopher in his arms and squeezed him tight. Chrisopher laughed and clapped his hands as his daddy gave him back to my father, and then he came and pulled me to a seat around the long, cherrywood table, and I sat down next to Tristen. Colin sat on the opposite side of the table next to Mary.
Alexander paced the room, he was huffing and puffing and his eyes held a dangerous look in them.
"Will someone please explain to me how it is possible for my son to be talking and walking at this early stage of his life?" I asked, angry now that no one took the time to tell me before this.
"Christopher can do much more than just walk and talk, Elizabeth. He has the strength of three warriors and soon he will be able to move mountains." Mary said.
"Mary please, I had a reason why I did not tell Elizabeth yet!" Alexander growled at Mary."I will tell her everything tonight, right now we have to figure out what to do!"
"You can put your attitude away Alexander, your son can understand everything you say," Mary said, and I was besides myself.
"How can a baby know what we are saying Mary?" I asked. throwing a look at my son.
"Elizabeth, remember he has super powers. He knows and understands everything he hears. He is not able to talk alot yet, but very soon he will be talking every language in the world! I will let Alexander explain the rest to you later." she said, because Alexander gave her a mean look.
"Lets figure out where the safest place to hide him is." Alexander said, he voice sounded stressed. I could only imagine the worry he must be feeling, he is carring all the wieght on his back, being the Prince of the Druids.
"There is no place safe enough for him!" Colin said, and everyone turned and looked at him. "Wherever we hide him, Isobel will find him!"
"There must be one place we can place him that he can be safe from Isobels reach!" my father said angrilly. And everyone argued back and forth, except Alexander. He stood silently observing us all, and not saying a single word.
"There is one place that my son would be safe." he said softly.
Everyone stopped talking and gave him their undivided attention. Alexander hesitated before continuing, and he looked at me. I waited with anticipation to hear his next words.
"There is only one place in the world that Isobel can not penetrate, there is only one person that can keep our son safe!" he said.
Everyone, including myself waited patiently for him to reveal his next words.
"Tatian's castle is surrounded with strong magic that wards off evil. Isobel and the Dark warriors will not be able to get in. Tatiana will guard our son with her life!" he said, and he lowered his gaze to me.
