My mother and I stayed in the gardens for many hours as I answered all her questions one by one. We laughed, we cried and we were just happy to be reunited again. My Mother told me that my father has gone hunting with his warriors, and will not be back until nightfall. I withheld from telling her that I knew all that is. I was blessed with knowledge of the past, present and the future. There is nothing I don't know, and nothing that I cant do. My mind and my body are super sonic, some may call it a blessing but it could also be a curse. Knowing things from the future is not always a good thing.
Hours later, as my mother and I enjoyed each others company, Mary found us and stood silently until we made eye contac, and I threw her a warm smile. She ran up to me and I pulled her into my embrace and gave her a warm hug.
"Christopher you have grown into a handsome yong man!" she said proudly as her tears spilled down her face.
I smiled down at her, and read her mind. She knew of my abilities and talked to me using telepathy.
"I need to talk to you alone, we have much to discuss about the upcoming war. Come to my room when everyone has gone to bed so we can discuss our plans, and dont tell your mother anything of the war until we talk first!" she said, still smiling for my mothers benefit.
Mary was not telepathic, and I could not respond to her in the same way, so I winked at her, confirming that I read her thoughts and will do as she requested.
The three of us stayed in the gardens way past dinner time as my mother and Mary competed for my attention. My heart swelled with love for the two woman in my life that meant the world to me.
When we walked back to the castle, Hercules still stood in the spot that I had left him in. "Go home my friend and I will call you when I need you." I told him, and the beautiful Arabian stallion disappeared from our sight. My mother and Mary looked at each other, amazed that my horse understood my words.
We walked through the great hall where all the warriors were enjoying themselves as they drank their ale and played a quick hand of poker. All activity stopped and they silently stood, and looked at me curiously.
"My dear friends, it is with great pleasure that I introduce to you, my all grown up son, Christopher." my mother told them.
I looked around at all the confused warriors, as they muttered to each other at the same time, until they finally comprehended what my mother told them and they all crowded around me and asked me a thousand questions all at the same time.
My mother and Mary both went to their rooms, and I stayed back with the warriors drinking ale with them, while I tried to answer all their questions.
Mary's thoughts reached me, reminding me not to forget to visit her chambers before I called it a night, and I made a mental note not to forget as I poured myself another tankard of ale.
