I was famished, and the tray full of goods looked delicious, as the servant girl laid it down on the table, and filled my goblet with ale before she left my room. Mary walked in as I was cutting the peice of meat, and she sat in the opposite chair from me. She looked worried and I put my fork down and asked, "Is something bothering you Mary?"

"I will explain later, please eat your food. I can wait." she said, but her smile was weak and her eyes would not meet mine. something was drastically wrong, I can feel it.

I ate in records time and then I raised the goblet to my lips to drink the ale, but Mary took the goblet from my hands saying, "Don't drink this!"

I looked at her, questioning her behaiver, as Mary took the goblet and placed it back on the tray. "Elizabeth, please do not drink that stuff, it is much to strong for you."

I raised my eyebrows and said, "What, now you want to be my mother? Whats going on, is there something you are not telling me?"

Mary sighed and said, "Yes, you are carring ALexanders child, and you should watch what you eat and drink from now on." she waited to see what my reaction will be, her eyes looked anxious.

Wow! could this be true? automatically my hand started to rub my stomach. No way! this cant be true! "How sure are you of this Mary? Did you see another vision?" I asked her, holding my breath for her response.

"Yes, I saw the birth clear as day, he is a boy." she said, finally showing me a sweet smile.

Tears welled up in my eyes. I was speechless. Mary came around to where I sat and gave me a much needed hug.

"There is much I must tell you, we need to make preparations to keep him safe from all those who will feel threatened by him." Mary said, softly.

"My eyes widened, is my baby life's at risk?" I asked, afraid of what might go wrong.

"Very much so, Elizabeth, we have a plan to keep him safe, but you must agree to it first." she said.

"Let me hear it." I said, scared that I might not like what they want me to do.

"We will keep your pregnancy a secret from everyone including Alexander." she paused and waited to see my reaction, when I showed no emotion, she continued. "Your father, Colin, Tristen and I think it's safer if you went back to Arizona until it is time to deliver the baby. After the birth, we will bring you back and hide you for a while until you regain your strength and all your powers are in place again." she paused again allowing me a few minutes to ponder on the information she gave me. "Elizabeth, Brendan will come with you to protect you, he is the chosen guardian of your child. He will guard the baby with his life. We all think he is the right person to do this, do you feel comfortable with this decision?" she asked carefully.

"What about Alexander, why is he not the one to protect me and his child?" I asked.

"Because we suspect that he will tell Tatiana, and we think that together they will plot to take the baby away from you." she warned.

"Why would he do that?" I asked, none of this is making any sense to me.

"Because he made love to Tatiana and is under her spell, he fancies himself in love with her!" she said, as if her words didnt take ten years of my life away!

This did not make any sense! "ALexander loves me Mary." I said softly, as tears slid down my face.

Mary's face muscles tightened as she threw her next words at me, "No he does not love you, he needed you, the two of you together have super powers, and his strength trippled with your connection. He loves no one but himself, I'm afraid your father is right. You must stay away from him Elizabeth!" she warned frantically.

"Why would he want to harm his own child?" I asked, not believing a single thing she just told me.

He will not harm the child, but he will hand it over to Tatiana, he owes her big time, and she waits for the child to be born to take it!"

I felt like throwing up! How could all this be true?

"Elizabeth, you must listen carefully to all that I tell you, we are running out of time. You must leave with Brendan as soon as possible. They are making arrangements for your departure as we speak." she said.

My mind was blown away with all that I heard. How could I leave this castle without confronting Alexander first. I must find him and see if all this is as Mary says.

"I need some time alone to think, if you don't mind." I told her, and I picked myself up and walked over to the huge bed and dropped on it and closed my eyes.

I heard Mary sigh and walk away. The door closed gently and I was all alone. I cried my heart out, each sob tore a piece of my heart out.
