I waited until all the great warriors emptied out of the castle before I turned around and found a shy servant girl, and asked her, "What is going on out there, do you have any idea?"

The girl, shook her head, and ran off with a basket of dirty laundry in her hands. Well then I shall have to see for myself, I thought dryly.

"Elizabeth." someone called out from behind me, the voice was rich and deep, and as I truned around I came face to face with Brenden, Alexanders older brother.

He was a sight to behold. A warrior with a powerful body much like Alexanders, deceptively lean and tapered. He looked savagely masculine. A towering gorgeous, muscle-ripped man. I would have married him had I met him first. It would have been easy for me to fall in love with such a man.

"Brenden," I said, barely a whisper. looking into his silver, grey sparkling eyes.

"Nice to have you back." he said, stepping foward, and wrapping his arms around me. His embrace was possesive and strong.

"Thank you, have you seen ALexander." I asked, and immediately I felt his hold loosen and he let go of me.

"Last I saw him he was reading some stuff in the library." I noticed his voice sounded cold and bitter.

"Do you have any idea what is going on outside." I asked curiously, changing the subject on purpose.

"The warriors are going to start training again, word has it that the veil is thinning, we do not have much time! Your father is holding a meeting with the warriors as we speak, then they will continue training aggresively. They are great warriors and your father being the second in command makes it his responsibility to make sure that each and every warrior is prepared to fight." he sighed, "We are not dealing with just monsters, there are dark forces and magic involved, all this spells disaster!"

Brendan's hand reached out and carressed my cheek. His eyes blazed with passion. "You should have chosen me, and not my brother. You and I would have made a good connection."

I blushed and pulled away, but not before I felt the warriors body stiffened, as he took a step backwards. He was right, our connection would have been beautiful, but I fell in love with ALexander and there was nothing to be done now. ALexander and I are bounded by ancient laws. He is my life as I know without a doubt that I am his.

Brendans stone cold eyes did not go unnoticed by me, and a shiver kissed my spine. He still wants me I can tell.

"One day you will regret not choosing me, and I hope it will not be too late. If you happen to change your mind, Elizabeth, you know where to find me." and with that said, he turned and walked away without looking back, like the proud and mighty warrior that he was.

His long, thick, raven hair was tied back with a thong, his broad shoulders strong and mighty, abs to die for, lean hips, powerful thighs and his muscles rippled with every step that he took, He looked like a God.

I sighed, and as I turned to head back up the stairs, I saw Alexander, standing with his arms crossed leaning against one of the marble pillars that stood between the great hall, and the dinning area.

He looked furious.
